UPPSC Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to appear for the exams conducted by UPPSC must go through the eligibility criteria as mentioned below.

 

Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as of a specified date (usually July 1 of exam year). Age relaxation applies as follows:

  • SC/ST/OBC candidates: 5 years
  • Physically handicapped candidates: up to 15 years (maximum 55 years)
  • Ex-servicemen, State Govt employees, skilled sportspersons: 5 years

Educational Qualification:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university is mandatory for most posts.
  • Some posts require specific qualifications, for example:
    • Law graduate for Assistant Prosecuting Officer
    • Agriculture graduate for District Cane Officer
    • Postgraduate degree for District Basic Shiksha Adhikari and certain administrative posts
    • Commerce graduate for District Audit Officer
    • Specialized degrees for technical or scientific posts
  • Final year degree students can apply, but must provide proof at a later stage.
