UP D.El.Ed Admission: Admission Process

The Diploma in Elementary Education course in Uttar Pradesh is a two-year course. It prepares students to teach primary and upper primary students from class 1 to 8. It was previously known as BTC (Basic Training Certificate).

This course is regulated by the Examination Regulatory Authority, Prayagraj, also known as Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari (PNP) under the guidance of the Uttar Pradesh Government. The entire registration and admission process is conducted online through the official website of the Examination Regulatory Authority. There is no entrance exam conducted for this course, and the admission and selection process is based on scores of 10+2 level and the UG level.

To be eligible for admission, candidates must hold a valid 10+2 degree, in any discipline. Students from all streams are welcome to apply. They must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination. Also, students must be an Indian citizen, and preferably a citizen of Uttar Pradesh.

Before applying for admission, candidates must check the eligibility criteria for admission to the UP DEIED course. The UP DEIEd Eligibility criteria is as follows:

• Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Candidates appearing in the 10+2 final examination are also eligible, provided they produce the pass certificate at the time of admission
• 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent for General category candidates
• 45% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD categories
• There is an age limit too.

• No specific subject is mandatory, but preference is sometimes given to candidates with educational courses

Before applying for admission in the DEIED course in Uttar Pradesh, students must meet the eligibility criteria. The UP DEIED Admission for government colleges like DIET Lucknow is conducted by the Examination Regulatory Authority, Prayagraj through an online centralized admission system. Step 1: Visit the official website of UP DEIED in to register using a valid mobile number and email ID. Fill in the online application form 2025 with academic and personal details. The required documents are mentioned below.

Step 2: After submitting the form, candidates must pay the application fee through online payment gateways (Net Banking, UPI, or Debit/Credit card).

Step 3: The merit list is prepared based on marks in 10th, 12th, and graduation

Step 4: Shortlisted candidates must fill in their college preferences. The counselling session is conducted online.

Step 5: Based on merit and preferences, seats are allotted. Candidates must download the allotment letter and report to the allotted institution

Step 6: After document verification by the college. Candidates are confirmed for admission. They must pay the fee to secure their seats.
