Telangana MDS Admission Process 2025

The Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) is a three-year postgraduate programme. It is for dentists seeking advanced clinical training in specialized areas of dentistry. The MDS admission process is based on an entrance examination and marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

 

To be eligible for MDS in Telangana, students must have completed a BDS degree from a Dental Council of India (DCI) recognized institution. Also, it is mandatory for students to have completed a one year compulsory rotatory internship. Students should be members of State Dental Council or DCI.

 

The entrance exam for the MDS degree is through NEET‑MDS. It is a computer based test. Also, students can appear for INI CET for colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, etc. There are only national exams for MDS course, there is no specific course by the state government of Telengana.

Telangana MDS Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to MDS, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Completed BDS degree from a university/institution recognized by the Dental Council of India
  • Must have obtained 50% aggregate marks in the BDS degree.
  • It is mandatory for students to complete a 12-month rotatory internship
  • Students must have a provisional or permanent registration with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or a State Dental Council (SDC)
  • The minimum age limit is of 20 years, and there is no upper age limit.

 

Telangana MDS Entrance Exams 2025

It is mandatory for students to obtain a valid score in the NEET MDS paper. Students have to meet the required score of their preferred university. There are cut-offs specified by the college.   • Step 1:Register on MCC portal usingthe NEET MDS roll number, application number, DOB. Pay the online application fee through online mode of payment such as debit card, credit card or netbanking. The required documents are mentioned below.
  • Step 2: Then, candidates have to Select AIIMS‑Kalyani and preferred MDS specializations. They can choose any institute of their choice.
