Stage 1: Create User ID and Password
Step 1: The first step is to register as a new candidate by visiting the official website of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), @natboard.edu.in or @nbe.edu.in.
Step 2: Next, select the “NEET PG” exam tab and click on the “New Registration” link to be redirected to the candidate registration portal.
Step 3: Enter the following details (as mentioned on the official documents) for successful registration:
- Full name of the candidate
- Date of Birth
- Gender & Nationality
- Valid Email address
- Valid mobile number
- Father’s Name
- Mother’s Name
- Permanent address
- ID proof
Step 4: Click on “Save and Proceed” and submit the registration after verifying all the details. The unique User ID and Password will be generated and sent to the registered email address or the mobile number.
Stage 2: NEET PG Login
This stage requires candidates to log in to their dashboard. Return to the homepage, click on the “Already Registered? To Login” link, and log in using the newly generated credentials:

Stage 3: Fill out the NEET PG Application Form 2026 with Personal Information, MBBS Academic Details, Internship Details, and Medical Registration Details
- The candidate’s name, category, parents’ names, permanent address, and ID proof must be included under Personal Information.
- MBBS marksheets, institution details, and provisional or permanent passing certificate must be mentioned under the academic details section.
- They must also submit the details of their one-year rotating residential internship and the registration number issued by SMC/ MCI.

Stage 4: Select the Test City
The test city selection process has changed for NEET PG 2026. Candidates no longer choose an individual city directly during registration. Instead, they select three preferred Test States, ranked in order of priority:
- First Choice (Mandatory): Must be the state of the candidate's correspondence address.
- Second Choice: Must be a state neighboring the first-choice state.
- Third Choice: Must also be a state neighboring the first-choice state.
Once candidates submit their three state preferences, NBEMS allocates a specific test city within one of these states using an automated random sequence allocation system. NBEMS will make every effort to assign a city as close as possible to the candidate's address within their first-choice state, though the final allotment depends on seat availability.
The exact test city assigned to each candidate will be revealed on the Test City Intimation Slip, to be released on August 11, 2026. No further changes to the state or city preference will be accepted once this slip is issued.

Stage 4: Upload the Required Documents
In this stage, candidates must upload the following mandatory documents in the NEET PG application form 2026, adhering to the mentioned size and format:
- Scanned passport-size photograph

- Left thumb impression (if required)
- MBBS degree/ provisional certificate
- Medical Registration Certificate

Yes, a caste certificate is required for NEET PG registration in 2026 only for candidates belonging to a reserved category (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, or EWS) wanting to claim category benefits or concessions in application fee. General category candidates do not need to upload caste certificates. As per the latest Government of India guidelines, the caste certificates must be issued by the following bodies:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate must be issued by the State Government or authorised District Authority and not be older than one year from the date of application.
- SC or ST Caste Certificate must be issued by the State Government or authorised District Authority.
