CLAT PG 2026: Third Merit List (Out), Round-wise Cutoff (Released), Counselling

CLAT PG 2026 third merit list has been released by the Consortium of National Law Universities on February 5, 2026. The seat allotment status for LLM programs can be checked by logging in to the official counselling portal. Those whose names appear in the merit list must pay a confirmation fee of INR 20,000 by February 12, 2026. After the allotment, options such as Freeze, Float, or Exit can be selected during the counselling process. Earlier, the CLAT PG 2026 second merit list was released on January 22, 2026. Those who selected the freeze option in the first three rounds of CLAT 2026 counselling must pay the admission fee to the allotted NLU by April 24, 2026, before 5:00 PM. The fourth allotment list is set ot be released on May 2, 2026. The CLAT PG 2026 counselling registration process was closed on December 27, 2025.

CLAT PG 2026 Highlights

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) PG is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) every year. It is a national-level exam held for admission to postgraduate law programs (LLM) at participating NLUs and other private law colleges. Several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also use CLAT PG scores for recruitment in legal positions. The exam is conducted in offline mode with a duration of two hours. CLAT PG Registration 2026

Candidates can visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in, the official website, to complete the CLAT PG Application Form 2026. The steps to fill out the CLAT PG application form have been listed below:

1. Candidates can register by providing their name, email address, and mobile number. Additionally, choose and verify a password for the applicant account that has just been created.
2. To access the application form, log in to the official website.
3. After checking in, the first step is choosing the one-year LLM study program.
4. Personal details, contact information, qualifying exam status, and preferred exam centre are among the various fields that will be included. Every field must be completed.
5. Accept the declaration, provide consent, and submit the form after all the information has been filled out.
6. The final step is to pay the category-specific application fee online with a credit or debit card or through net banking.

Documents Required for CLAT PG 2026 Registration

Candidates must upload certain required documents while filling out the CLAT PG 2026 application form online. These documents should be clear and uploaded in PDF format only. The photograph and signature of the candidate need not be attested at the time of submission. Original documents must be presented at the allotted university during admission as per the rules of the respective institution. The required documents are:

• A front-facing, recent passport-size photograph with a plain background.

Candidates are required to bear the additional bank transaction charges for fee payment. The application fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable. CLAT PG Exam Pattern 2026

NLU Consortium issued the CLAT PG 2026 Exam Pattern for LLM courses. There will be both objective-type and subjective-type questions on the CLAT LLM paper. The Consortium eliminated the subjective portion of the CLAT PG Exam 2026. By the updated CLAT PG Exam Pattern 2026, applicants must complete 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in 120 minutes. CLAT PG Admit Card 2026

The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the CLAT PG Admit Card 2026 on the official website. Only registered candidates can download the admit card of CLAT PG exam from the official website through login.

How to Download the CLAT PG 2026 Admit Card?

The process to download the CLAT PG admit card is listed below:

• Go to the CLAT official website.
• Enter mobile number and password to access the CLAT website.
• To access the candidate's profile window, click Login.
• The applicant will be able to download the admit card from their profile window as soon as it is available.
• Select the option to create an admit card.
• After that, the CLAT PG Admit Card 2026 will appear on the screen, from where they can download it.
• Take a printout of the admission card for future records or save it to the computer.

CLAT PG Result 2026

The CLAT PG Result is made public by the Consortium of NLUs. The Consortium will release the CLAT Final Answer Key and CLAT Result PDF simultaneously on the same day. The CLAT Final Answer Key can be used to calculate the estimated CLAT PG Result 2026. The scorecard can be downloaded by logging into the candidate's registered account on the CLAT official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The CLAT PG 2026 merit list is released during the admissions and seat distribution procedure. Candidates with higher merit list rankings will be given preference regarding seat distribution. • Only Indian Nationals/NRIs are eligible to appear for CLAT PG 2026. Foreign Nationals are not eligible.
• For NRI/NRI-sponsored seats, candidates must apply directly to the respective NLUs as the Consortium does not allot seats for these categories.
