COMEDK Counselling 2026 (Open): Round 1 Mock Allotment (Out), Documents

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has extended the COMEDK UGET 2026 choice filling for round 1. Candidates who missed the earlier window to edit their preferences between July 14 and 16 can now use the opportunity to submit their choices. The COMEDK choice editing for round 1 is available from July 17 to 24. Students can log in to the candidate portal at comedk.org and submit their preferences. This year, a total of 24,576 engineering seats are available across 150 participating colleges in Karnataka. Candidates are advised to review their college preferences carefully before the Round 1 seat allotment to maximise their chances of securing admission to their preferred institution.

COMEDK Counselling 2026: Overview

Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka conducts a fully online, multi-round counselling for COMEDK UGET 2026 qualifiers. COMEDK UGET Counselling Registration began on June 8, 2026, and the fee is INR 2,000. Candidates will have to submit their documents for online verification by June 2026, before participating in mock and live choice-filling sessions. Provisional and final COMEDK Seat Allotment 2026 will then be distributed around 20,000 seats across more than 150 engineering colleges based on COMEDK UGET and NATA 2026 ranks. Finally, allotted candidates will have to pay the fee and physically report to their colleges by the deadlines specified in the official schedule.

COMEDK Counselling 2026: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to join COMEDK Counselling 2026, candidates need to fulfil specific eligibility requirements, such as passing the respective entrance test, a minimum educational qualification with specified marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, regardless of domicile. These conditions are as per the norms of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Council of Architecture (COA).

COMEDK Counselling Process 2026

The COMEDK Counselling 2026 is an online admission process for Architecture and Engineering courses in the member colleges. Qualified students must complete all steps of the procedure within the specified schedule to secure a seat.

1. Registration and Document Upload: Candidates must visit comedk.org, log in with their credentials, and submit personal and educational details. Required documents like Class 10 & 12 marksheets, photo ID, and COMEDK Scorecard 2026/ NATA scorecards must be uploaded in specified formats.

2. Document Verification: The uploaded documents are verified online by the COMEDK authorities. Only verified candidates become eligible for choice filling. Any discrepancies must be resolved within the deadline.

3. Choice Filling (Mock & Final): Verified candidates are required to complete their course and college order of preference. Mock allotment is done first to help make choices. Choices should be finalised before the deadline. If not finalised, last saved choices are auto-submitted.

4. Seat Allotment: COMEDK releases allotment outcomes after every round. The allotment will be made based on rank, preference, seat availability, and category. The candidates can accept, upgrade, or relinquish the allotted seat according to available choices.

5. Fee Payment and Seat Acceptance: Candidates who have accepted a seat are required to pay the prescribed fee online via net banking, UPI, or card. Non-payment within the specified timeframe will result in seat cancellation.

6. Reporting to Allotted College: Selected candidates are required to report to the assigned college with original documents for verification and undergo institute-level admission processes.

7. Surrender/Withdrawal: Applicants who are willing to relinquish their seat are allowed to do so during the notified period. Refunds, when due, will be processed in accordance with COMEDK policy.

COMEDK Counselling Seat Matrix 2026

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has released the COMEDK UGET 2026 Round 1 provisional seat matrix on June 29, 2026. COMEDK Counselling Fee Structure 2026

Candidates must complete fee payments through the COMEDK online portal. The fees include a non‑refundable registration charge and institute‑level tuition, with a clear refund policy for seat cancellations.

Counselling Registration Fee: INR 2,000 (one‑time, non‑refundable) payable at registration via net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.

Tuition Fee Range: Determined by each institute; generally:

• Engineering: INR 1.2 – 3.2 lakhs per annum
• Architecture: INR 1.5 – 3.5 lakhs per annum

Refund Rules:

• Registration Fee: Not refundable under any circumstances.
• Total Fee Paid at COMEDK Level: Fully refunded (minus convenience charges) if the seat is cancelled within the designated cancellation window of any counselling round.
• After Final Round: No refunds allowed once final admission (final round/freeze) is confirmed.
