CUET Syllabus 2025: NTA released the syllabus for CUET 2025 with some significant changes. While the number of subjects has been reduced, the focus area of the exam has shifted towards the core subjects. The key changes for 2025 are as follows:

  • Fewer subjects: NTA decreased the number of subjects and languages from 63 in 2024 to 36 in 2025.
  • Removed subjects: Subjects like Art Education, Painting and Sculpture, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Legal Studies, Engineering Graphics, and Entrepreneurship were removed.
  • Focus on core areas: There was an increased emphasis on subjects such as Business Studies, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

CUET 2025 consisted of three sections or papers: Section 1, a language test; Section 2, a domain-specific subject test; and Section 3, a general ability test. Section 1 has 13 languages to choose from, and Section 2 has 23 subjects to choose from. There is an additional option in section 1B offering 20 more languages.

The CUET 2025 syllabus for section 1 included the same key areas for all subjects. All subjects have three types of reading comprehension questions: narrative, factual, and literary. CUET Syllabus 2025: Section 2

The CUET syllabus for 2025 reduced the number of subjects from 29 to 23, from which candidates chose five subjects to attempt.
