IIT JAM Registration 2027 has started on September 11, 2026. The last date to apply is October 19, 2026. Earlier, the last date to apply was October 12, 2026 but it has been extended by IIT Kharagpur. IIT JAM Registration Process 2027

IIT JAM registration 2027 will be conducted through the JOAPS portal in online mode. Note that there will be no offline application process for IIT JAM. Candidates can click on the direct link mentioned above and follow the steps mentioned below to apply for IIT JAM 2027:

Step 1: Registration

• Go to the IIT JAM official website at jam.iitkgp.ac.in or click on the direct link mentioned above.
• Click on “Application Portal” on homepage.

• A form will open. If you are a new user, click on “Register Here”. If you are already registered, you can click on login button.

• Enter your name, email address, country, mobile number, and generate a password. Enter the captcha code and click on “Register.”
• Candidates should ensure that the name above matches with that on their Photo ID. This name will appear on the JAM 2027 Admit Card and qualifying Score Card.
• Candidates must make sure that they enter the correct mobile number and email address as all communication from JAM 2027 will be sent to the same number and email.

• After successful registration, the candidate’s Enrollment ID and OTP will be sent to the email address and mobile number provided by the candidate. The candidate needs to use this Enrollment ID along with the password for submitting the application.

Step 2: Application Form

• Once registered, candidates can click on the “login” button to log in to their account.
• Once logged in, click on the declaration and then “Start filling JAM 2027 Application Form.”

• Select whether you want to appear for one or two papers.
• Select the name of the paper you want to appear for.

• Choose the preference of exam centres. Candidates can choose upto 3 exam centres. The exam centres should be chosen in their respective priority order. The centre will be allocated on the basis of priority filled by candidates.
• After entering the details, click on Save and Next.
• Verify the email ID and mobile number by entering the OTP received.

• Candidates can click on Edit Name if they wish to edit their name to be appeared on the admit card.
• Enter date of birth as per ID document.
• Enter gender, nationality, country and category.

• Upload a valid photo ID and enter the photo ID number. Enter details of parents/ guardians and click on Next.
• For the next step, candidates need to enter their address. Enter the pin code, country, state, and complete address.

• Candidates must make sure that the address entered matches the provided photo ID.
• After entering the details, click on Save and Next.
• Next, candidates will have to enter their qualifying degree details.

• Enter the college pin code, name of college, address, roll number, and degree details as required.

• Enter the year of the qualifying degree, name of the institute, and click on Next.

Candidates who have registered will be issued IIT JAM Admit Card 2027.

• Upload photograph, signature and 10th certificate.
• Candidates also need to enter the source from where they got to know about the IIT JAM 2027 exam.

• Once all details are filled, click on “View Application”. Make sure all the details filled in the IIT JAM registration form are correct.
• Once reviewed, click on the Submit button.

Step 4: Pay Application Fee

What if the IIT JAM Application payment fails?

In case the IIT JAM application fee payment is not completed due to internet issues, power failure, or any other reason, candidates should log in to the portal after 1 hour and check the payment status again. If the payment is not reflected on the portal, a new payment should be initiated. Note that it is mandatory to pay the IIT JAM application fee, without which the application will not be accepted. In case the fee amount has been debited from the candidate’s account, it will be refunded within 10 working days.

• The same certificate should be submitted at the time of admission to the respective colleges.
