ISC Class 12 Exam Latest news and articles
The ISC Class 12 Exam Eligibility 2027 criteria indicate that candidates appearing for the examination for the first time must have completed the prescribed two-year course of study through a CISCE-affiliated and registered school. Attendance is one of the most important eligibility conditions. CISCE states that candidates with attendance below 75% of the working days are ordinarily not eligible to appear for the examination. There is no age limit for candidates appearing for the ISC examination. Students transferring from CBSE, state boards or other recognized boards must have passed an equivalent examination conducted by another examining board and get their eligibility verified by the Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE before appearing for the ISC Class 12 Board Exam 2027.

ISC Class 12 Exam 2027 School Affiliation
For a student to be eligible for the ISC Class 12 Exam 2027, he/she must be studying at a school that is affiliated with CISCE and registered for the ISC Examination. School affiliation is therefore a fundamental eligibility condition for appearing in the ISC Board Exam 2027. ISC affiliation means that the school has received approval from CISCE to offer the ISC course at the senior secondary level. A school seeking to introduce ISC Classes XI and XII has to meet the requirements prescribed by CISCE. The Council examines whether the school has the infrastructure, laboratories, library and teaching staff required for ISC-level education.
Is 75 Percent Attendance Compulsory for Class 12 ISC 2027?
Yes, a minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory for students to be eligible to appear in the ISC Class 12 Exam 2027. CISCE specifies that candidates whose attendance is below 75% of the working days are ordinarily not eligible to appear for the ISC examination. This attendance requirement applies to each year of the two-year ISC course — Class 11 and Class 12. Attendance is calculated up to January 31 of each year. This means students should maintain regular attendance throughout Classes XI and XII rather than attempting to make up for prolonged absence shortly before the board examination.
CISCE also provides a mechanism for condonation of shortage of attendance in certain circumstances. The Chief Executive and Secretary may consider cases where attendance is not less than 60% of the working days in each year of the two-year course in exceptional circumstances, such as serious medical or psychological conditions requiring prolonged treatment or hospitalization, authorized participation in recognized sports, arts or cultural events at the state, national or international level, and other unforeseen special circumstances.
Is There an Age Limit for ISC Class 12 Exam 2027?
There is no age limit for the ISC Class 12 Exam 2027, as specified by the CISCE's ISC Year 2027 Regulations. However, absence of an age limit does not remove the other eligibility conditions. Candidates must still fulfil the applicable requirements relating to the ISC course, school registration, attendance and examination entry.
