JKBOPEE has prescribed JKCET 2026 Syllabus. Candidates aspiring to appear in the JKCET exam, have to prepare for the JKCET exam as per the prescribed syllabus only. The entrance test is based on the courses of study and syllabus of the 12th class. JKCET 2026 Exam Pattern
Candidates can check JKCET 2026 Exam Pattern to know how the entrance examination will be conducted. JKCET 2026 Syllabus FAQs
Are there any qualifying marks in the JKCET exam?
The minimum marks to qualify in the JKCET exam is 10. A candidate having scored less than 10 marks on the entrance test shall not be considered for admission.
Is there any age limit to apply for JKCET?
There is no upper age bar for appearing in JKCET for admission to Engineering Courses, both in Government and Private Colleges. However, candidates must have the domicile certificate of UT of J&K or ST certificate issued by a competent Authority of UT of Ladakh be treated as the Domicile certificate of UT of Ladakh and 10+2 passed/passing in the curren year of JKCET exam.
Can I request for re-totaling of marks in JKCET?
Yes. Candidates who wish to go for re-totalling of marks can proceed with it by paying INR 1000/- per subject at POS Machine in BOPEE Office at Jammu / Srinagar. BOPEE will accept the written request along with the payment receipt within 3 days, after the declaration of the JKCET result.
Is the JKCET application form made available in the offline mode too?
No, JKCET application form is made available in online mode only. Applicants looking for admission to various courses will be able to fill the JKCET application form only at the official website. The application process for JKCET includes filling out the online application, paying the application fee, uploading documents, and printing the application form. To pay the application fee, candidates have to use the online payment method with the help of any National Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net banking facility.
In what mode is the JKCET exam held?
JKCET is held in offline, pen and paper based mode. The entrance test is based on the courses of study and syllabi of the 12th class. The JKCET exam will have 1 paper that will have 3 sections - Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Each section will have 60 questions of marks each. The total marks in the paper is 180 and the total questions are 180.
How to register for JKCET counselling?
To register for JKCET counselling, candidates will initially be required to enter the requisite/mandatory details for registration and obtain the password for subsequent login into the website. After login, candidates can view their Personal Details and CET Score by clicking on Personal Profile.
