KEAM 2026 Exam Pattern: Overview

KEAM 2026 will be held in Computer-based Test mode at different centres across Kerala. The exam checks their understanding of topics from the Class 11 and 12 syllabi. Engineering has one single CBT paper combining all three subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) in one session, while Architecture applicants need only a valid NATA score along with PCM marks. Given below is the highlight of the KEAM 2026 Exam Pattern:

KEAM Preparation Tips 2026

KEAM 2026 preparation requires a clear understanding of the syllabus, regular practice, and proper time management. Candidates should focus on important topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and practice previous year question papers to understand the exam pattern. Making a daily study timetable, revising concepts regularly, and taking mock tests will help improve speed and accuracy. Staying consistent, clearing doubts on time, and maintaining good health are also important for better performance in the exam.

  • Follow NCERT/SCERT textbooks for Class 11 & 12, as most questions were based on them.
  • Build conceptual clarity in Physics topics like Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Optics.
  • Revise Physical Chemistry numericals, Organic reaction mechanisms, and key Inorganic facts regularly.
  • Practice Mathematics daily, focusing on Algebra, Calculus, and Coordinate Geometry for better speed.
  • Solve previous year papers and take mock tests to understand the exam pattern and improve time management.
  • Prepare short notes for formulas, reactions, and definitions for quick revision.
  • Follow a realistic study timetable with proper breaks to avoid burnout.
  • Focus on high-weightage chapters first, then move to less important topics.
  • Avoid unnecessary books; stick to one or two good references along with the NCERT.
  • Stay updated with official KEAM notifications to avoid missing important changes.
