MET Counselling 2026 round 3 seat allotment result has been released on June 30, 2026. Candidates can access their round 3 allotment status through the official portal, counseling.manipal.edu. The registration and choice filling for round 3 of the MET 2026 counselling process took place between June 27 and 28, 2026, and eligibility was limited to candidates who had already cleared the MET 2026 entrance exam. Seats under MET 2026 seat allotment are assigned based on a combination of exam scores and the preferences submitted during choice filling — meaning only those who completed both steps of the registration process were considered for seat allocation in this round.

MET Counselling 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before going for the MET Counselling 2026, and if the eligibility criteria are not fulfilled, then the candidates are not allowed to participate in the admissions process. Below are the eligibility criteria for MET Counselling 2026.
- Candidates should have cleared the exam and must have a valid MET rank.
- Candidates should have passed in 10+2 / A-Level / International Baccalaureate (IB)/American High School Diploma or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
- Candidate should have a minimum aggregate of 50 % in Physics, Mathematics and one of the optional subjects put together. In each of these subjects, candidates should have scored at least the minimum pass marks prescribed by the board.
- Candidates who have appeared for 10+2 / A Level / IB / American High School Diploma or Equivalent board examination or are awaiting their results are also eligible for the counselling, provided they fulfil the above criteria.
MET 2026 Counselling and Admission Process
For engineering courses, MAHE will conduct the MET 2026 Counselling in online mode. Eligible and shortlisted candidates have to first register for the MET 2026 Counselling, complete the choice filling and upload the required documents. Then the authority releases the seat allotment 2026 for each round of MET 2026 Counselling. Candidates can refer to the step-by-step detailed process of MET counselling and seat allotment below.
Registration: First of all, candidates have to register for the MET 2026 Counselling on the official website. Candidates have to enter all the required information for registration.
Choice Filling/Modification: Candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal using the application number, OTBS Password, and captcha code and select their preferred choices of campus and courses. Candidates can modify their choices of college and branch as per their preference.
Document Upload: The following documents need to be uploaded by the candidate in online mode to participate in the MET counselling and seat allotment 2026.

- Aadhaar Card (Candidate’s Original)
- PAN Card of the parents (original)

Seat Allocation: Based on the merit list authority will allocate the seat. By using the candidate portal, students can check the status of seat allocation. Candidates already having an allotted seat but want to upgrade will have to report to the allotted institute, and will have the option to participate in the second round. Candidates who do not get a seat in the previous round will automatically participate in the next round of seat allotment.
Report to the Allotted Institute: candidates have to visit the allocated institute to complete the admission process. At the time of admission, it is necessary for a candidate to carry their provisional MET seat allotment letter 2026 along with the necessary documents.

The selected candidates must carry these documents, either original or photocopies, to the allocated college for verification.

- Class 10 marksheet (date of birth)
- Class 12 marksheet issued by a recognised board

- Two recent passport-size pictures

- Copy of Overseas Citizen of India/ Person of Indian Origin Card (if applied under OCI/PIO category)
MET 2026 Counselling Fees
Candidates will also be required to pay a fee of INR 10,000 as a waitlist deposit, which is to be paid online during the MET counselling 2026 registration process after the MET 2026 Result. Once the fees are paid for the MET counselling, 2026 candidates are eligible to participate in the choice filling. To confirm the seat allotment, candidates need to pay the 1st instalment fees. The counselling fees are to be paid at the time of registration, which will be converted into a refundable caution deposit, which is part of the course fee. In case the candidate did not get a seat in any rounds of counselling, the waitlist deposit will be refunded within 1 month of completion of all rounds of the institute’s counselling process.
