MET Result 2026 Normalisation Process

If there is a case where there are two or more candidates with the same MET Scores, the authorities will follow the tie-breaking rules to allot the ranks.

• Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank.
• If the tie still exists, candidates with a higher score in Physics will get a higher rank.
• If the tie still has not been broken, candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will get the higher rank.
• If the tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in the 10th standard PCM will be allotted a higher rank.
• Lastly, if the tie is still not broken, candidates who are older will get the higher rank.
