NCET 2026 Mathematics Syllabus also includes Core Mathematics section, that covers relations and functions, inverse trigonometric functions, limits, continuity, differentiability, and vector algebra, while Applied Mathematics emphasizes financial mathematics, statistics, index numbers, numerical methods, and practical applications of calculus.

Section A1 (Mandatory for All Candidates)

Algebra: Types of matrices, operations on matrices, transpose, symmetric and skew-symmetric matrices, inverse of a matrix, determinants, solving system of linear equations using matrices.

 

Calculus: Higher order derivatives (up to second order), applications of derivatives (increasing/decreasing functions, maxima and minima), indefinite and definite integrals, application of integrals (area under curves), differential equations (order, degree, separable type).

 

Probability & Linear Programming: Basic probability distributions and graphical method of solving linear programming problems including feasible region and optimal solution.

Section B1 – Core Mathematics (Choose One Option)

Relations and Functions: Types of relations (reflexive, symmetric, transitive, equivalence), one-one and onto functions, inverse trigonometric functions (domain, range, principal value).

 

Advanced Calculus: Limits, continuity, differentiability and their applications.Vectors & 3D

 

Geometry: Vector algebra, direction ratios, equations of lines and planes. Additional Algebra & Calculus Concepts aligned with senior secondary (Class 12) core mathematics syllabus.

Section B2 – Applied Mathematics (Alternative to Core Mathematics)

Numerical Applications: Numbers, quantification, and algebraic methods.
