The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 City Intimation Slip 2026 on September 7, 2026, for candidates shortlisted under CEN 07/2025. The RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 exam 2026 is scheduled to be held on September 17, 2026, and candidates can use the city slip to check their allotted examination city and plan their travel accordingly. RRB NTPC 2026: Highlights

RRB NTPC 2026 is being conducted for Graduate and Undergraduate-level posts in Indian Railways. The recruitment covers posts such as Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk, Goods Train Manager, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Station Master, Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor and Traffic Assistant.

 

The recruitment is conducted RRB/zone-wise. Candidates who qualify the relevant stages are considered for appointment against vacancies under the RRB selected in their application.

 

RRB NTPC 2026: Important Dates

The RRB NTPC CBT 1 2026 exam for Graduate-level was conducted from March 16 to March 27, 2026, followed by the CBT 1 result and the shortlist for CBT 2 on June 11, 2026. The RRB NTPC CBT 2 exam 2026 was subsequently held on July 10, 2026, and RRB released the question papers, candidate response sheets, and answer keys on July 15, 2026. The CBT 2 result and zone-wise cutoff marks were declared on August 27, 2026. The next stage exams are scheduled for September 24, 2026, for the Computer-Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) and September 30, 2026, for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), depending on the post.

 

The RRB NTPC CBT 1 2026 exam for Undergraduate-level was conducted in multiple phases from May 7 to May 9 and June 13 to June 20, 2026. Following this, RRB released the provisional answer key on June 27, 2026. Candidates shortlisted in RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 2026 will appear for the CBT 2 exam on September 17, 2026, while the RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 City Intimation Slip 2026 was released on September 7, 2026.

Latest status: The Graduate cycle is currently ahead of the Undergraduate cycle. Graduate candidates have already appeared for CBT-II, while the UG CBT-I result is awaited.

 

RRB NTPC Admit Card 2026

For the RRB NTPC 2026 Graduate-level recruitment, the CBT 1 admit card was released from March 12, 2026 onwards, ahead of the exam conducted from March 16 to March 27, 2026. The RRB NTPC Graduate CBT 2 e-call letter was released on July 6, 2026, four days before the examination scheduled for July 10, 2026. The RRB NTPC Graduate CBTST 2026 is scheduled for September 24, 2026, and the RRB NTPC CBAT 2026 is scheduled for September 30, 2026. The respective e-call letters are expected to be released before the exam dates.

 

For the RRB NTPC 2026 Undergraduate-level recruitment, the CBT 1 admit card was released on May 4, 2026, ahead of the exam commencing on May 7, 2026. Candidates shortlisted for RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 2026 will be able to download their admit card from the respective regional RRB website before the exam scheduled for September 17, 2026. Before this, the Railway Recruitment Board had issued the RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 City Intimation Slip 2026 on September 7, 2026.

 

RRB NTPC Answer Key 2026

 

Graduate Level

The RRB NTPC Graduate CBT-II answer key was released on July 15, 2026. Candidates were provided access to their CBT-II questions, responses and answer keys through the respective RRB portals and were given an opportunity to raise objections.

 

The Graduate CBT-I answer key had previously been released on April 6, 2026.

 

Undergraduate Level

The RRB NTPC UG CBT-I provisional answer key was released on June 27, 2026. Candidates could view their questions, responses and provisional keys and raise objections until July 5, 2026, 11:55 PM.

 

The objection fee was ₹50 per question, with the applicable amount refunded if the objection is accepted, after deduction of applicable bank charges.

 

Candidates should note that the provisional answer key is not the final result. RRB considers valid objections before preparing the final answer key and subsequent result.

Graduate Level CBT-II Result

Undergraduate Level CBT-I Result

The RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 Result 2026 has been released on August 24, 2026. The result is available zone-wise in PDF format. The provisional answer key, question paper, and response sheet were released earlier on June 27, 2026, and the objection window remained open until July 5, 2026.

RRB NTPC Merit List 2026

The final selection is not based on CBT-I alone. CBT-I primarily acts as a screening stage for shortlisting candidates for CBT-II. For posts requiring a Typing Skill Test or CBAT, the applicable test is conducted after CBT-II.

RRB NTPC Selection Process 2026

CBT-I

CBT-I is primarily used for screening and shortlisting candidates for CBT-II.

 

CBT-II

CBT-II is the principal written examination for the NTPC posts and is considered for subsequent selection/merit as prescribed for the particular post.

 

Skill/Aptitude Test

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2026

RRB NTPC has two Computer-Based Tests followed by a post-specific Typing Skill Test or CBAT wherever applicable.

 

RRB NTPC 2026: CBT-I

CBT-I consists of 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes.

There is 1/3-mark negative marking for every incorrect answer.

CBT-II consists of 120 questions for 120 marks and is conducted for candidates shortlisted from CBT-I.

The examination duration is 90 minutes, with the applicable relaxation for eligible PwBD candidates using a scribe.
