As per the schedule released by the Staff Selection Commission, the SSC GD 2027 notification will be released on September 30, 2026, and the application process will be conducted between September 30 and October 31, 2026. For the ongoing SSC GD 2026 recruitment cycle, the notification was released on December 1, 2025, and the application process was conducted from December 1 to December 31, 2025. The SSC GD 2025 CBT examination was scheduled to begin on February 23, 2026, now been postponed to a future date, which is expected to be released soon.

SSC GD Constable Application Process 2026: Steps to Apply

The SSC GD Constable Application Process 2026 is conducted online through the official website of the Staff Selection Commission. All the details must be filled accurately to avoid disqualification at the subsequent stages.

 

Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)

Candidates appearing for the exam for the first time are required to mandatorily register themselves with the OTR registration on the official SSC portal. It requires the necessary details related to the candidate’s name, date of birth, email ID, phone number, and valid photo ID. After successfully registering, the candidates will be sent a unique registration number, which is to be kept safe for future records.

 

Step 2: Application Form Filling

Candidates need to log in with their registration credentials to continue their form-filling process. The link for the SSC GD Constable Exam can be found under the ‘Active Examination’ section on the candidate’s dashboard. Under this, personal details, educational qualifications, and examination-related preferences are to be filled.

 

Step 3: Document Uploading

SSC has released a live photograph capturing feature in the application module. Candidates are only required to have a scanned signature and class 10 certificate for document uploading. A blurred photograph may lead to rejection, so the photograph should be taken in good lighting and background. The image dimension for the scanned signature is 6 cm (W) and 2 cm (H) with a file size between 10 KB and 20 KB.

 

Step 4: Application Fee Payment

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of INR 100, which must be paid online (UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking). With respect to certain categories ike SC, ST, ESM, and women candidates, they are exempted from the payment of the application fee as per the guidelines released by the commission. After the payment of fees, the candidates must make final submissions and save the confirmation page for future reference.
