SSC JE Cutoff 2022 determines the minimum marks candidates are required to secure in Paper 1 to qualify for the Paper 2 exam. For the SSC JE 2022 Paper 2 examination, general category candidates needed to obtain 110.57 marks in the Civil stream and 123.45 marks in the Mechanical and Electrical stream to be shortlisted for the next stage. Candidates scoring equal to or above the minimum marks qualify for the next stage of examination.

SSC JE paper 1 cutoff marks are released category-wise and branch-wise for Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering streams. The SSC JE Cutoff varies each year, depending on factors such as the number of vacancies, the difficulty level of the exam, the performance of the candidates, and normalization across multiple shifts. It must be noted that the commission does not release a Paper 2 cutoff because the exam is descriptive in nature.

SSC JE Cutoff 2022 FAQs

When was SSC JE Cutoff 2022 released?

SSC JE Cutoff 2022 was released along with the Paper 1 result on the official Staff Selection Commission website. The cutoff was published in PDF format and included category-wise marks for candidates to qualify for the Paper 2 examination.

What was the SSC JE 2022 cutoff for General category candidates?

In SSC JE 2022, the General category cutoff was 110.57 marks for Civil Engineering and 123.45 marks for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Paper 1. Candidates scoring equal to or above these marks were shortlisted for Paper 2.

Why was the Mechanical and Electrical cutoff higher than Civil in SSC JE 2022?

The cutoff for Mechanical and Electrical streams was higher because fewer vacancies were available in these disciplines.

Do minimum qualifying marks ensure selection in SSC JE 2022?

No, minimum qualifying marks only determine whether a candidate’s Paper 1 answer sheet will be evaluated for merit preparation. Final shortlisting for Paper 2 depends on whether the candidate’s score met the official category-wise cutoff marks.

Are SSC JE cutoffs released separately for each engineering branch every year?

Yes, SSC releases separate Paper 1 cutoff marks for Civil and for Mechanical/Electrical streams each year. This is because vacancy distribution, candidate strength, and exam difficulty vary across these engineering disciplines.
