SSC JE Cutoff 2023 determines the minimum marks candidates are required to secure in Paper 1 to qualify for the Paper 2 exam. For the SSC JE 2023 Paper 2 examination, general category candidates needed to obtain 108.16 marks in the Civil stream and 131.45 marks in the Mechanical and Electrical stream to be shortlisted for the next stage. Candidates scoring equal to or above the minimum marks qualify for the next stage of examination.

SSC JE paper 1 cutoff marks are released category-wise and branch-wise for Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering streams. The SSC JE Cutoff varies each year, depending on factors such as the number of vacancies, the difficulty level of the exam, the performance of the candidates, and normalization across multiple shifts. It must be noted that the commission does not release a Paper 2 cutoff because the exam is descriptive in nature.

What was the SSC JE 2023 cutoff for the General category in Civil Engineering?

In SSC JE 2023, the General category cutoff for Civil Engineering was 108.16 marks in Paper 1. Candidates scoring this mark or higher were shortlisted to appear in the Paper 2 descriptive examination conducted by the commission.

Why was the Mechanical and Electrical cutoff higher than Civil in SSC JE 2023?
