IIT Bombay closed the UCEED 2025 application form (with late fees) on November 18, 2024; the last date was extended to November 8, 2024. Applications with regular fees were accepted until October 31, 2024. UCEED 2025 application form opened on October 1, 2024. To fill out the application form, register and fill in personal, academic, and personal information, select UCEED 2025 test centres, upload documents, and pay the application fee.UCEED 2025 application fee is INR 4000 for General and INR 2000 for reserved and female candidates.

 

The UCEED 2025 entrance exam will be conducted on January 19, 2025. The scores of UCEED 2025 will be used for admission to the B.Des program offered by the UCEED participating institutes.

The candidate must meet the following conditions for admission to the B.Des program offered by the UCEED 2025 participating institutes.

Steps to Fill UCEED Application Form 2025

To apply for UCEED admission in 2025, candidates who fulfil the requirements for the B.Des program must take the actions listed below.

  1. Online Registration

  2. Filling of Personal Details

  3. Providing Academic Information

  4. Selection of Test Centers

  5. Uploading of Documents

  6. Payment of Application Fees

 

Step 1: Registration for UCEED 2025

  • Click on the registration link
  • A registration form will open
  • Enter the email id and click on the "Register" button. An activation link will be sent to the registered email ID.
  • On clicking the link, candidates will be redirected to a page where they must fill in additional details like name, DOB, gender, mobile number, etc.
  • Select and confirm a password for the new applicant's account
  • The registration process will be complete once the candidate submits all the details.

 

Step 2: Fill in Personal Details

The candidate has to fill in their personal details, including:

  • Birth category
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status
  • PwD status
  • Email address
  • Mobile number, etc.

A maximum of three test cities can be selected in the order of preference. Requests for a change in the UCEED exam cities will not be entertained.

 

Step 5: Upload Documents

The following documents must be uploaded as scanned copies in the required format:

  • Recent color photograph
  • Signature
  • Qualifying examination certificate
  • Gazette notification showing the change of name (If the name is not the same as in the Class 12 certificate)
  • Provisional certificate
  • Category certificate
  • Request letter to avail scribe or compensatory time

 

Step 6: Pay the UCEED Application Fee

Before paying the application fee, the candidate needs to confirm that the UCEED application form is complete in all respects. The application fee for UCEED 2025 has to be paid online.

When filling out the UCEED 2025 application, candidates should make sure they have the following files available for upload:

  1. Recent Passport-Sized Photograph

  • Format: JPEG (.jpg)
  • Size: 5 KB to 100 KB
  • Specifications: The photo must be recent, taken in the last six months, and show a full front-facing view with the head centred, covering 70-80% of the image.
  1. Signature

  • Format: JPEG (.jpg)
  • Size: 2 KB to 50 KB
  • Specifications: A clear scanned image of the candidate's signature on white paper.
  1. Class 12 Marksheet (Qualifying Exam Certificate)

  • Format: PDF (.pdf)
  • Size: 30 KB to 500 KB
  • Upload Requirement: Candidates who appeared for the exam in 2023 or before.
  1. Proof of Date of Birth

  • Format: PDF (.pdf)
  • Size: 30 KB to 500 KB
  • Accepted Documents: SSC certificate, Passport, or Birth Certificate.
  1. Provisional Certificate

  • Format: PDF (.pdf)
  • Size: 30 KB to 300 KB
  • Upload Requirement: Candidates appearing for their qualifying exam in 2024 must upload a certificate from the school/college principal.
  1. Gazette Notification (if applicable)

  • Format: PDF (.pdf)
  • Size: 30 KB to 300 KB
  • Upload Requirement: If the name on the Class 12 certificate differs from the current one.
  1. Category Certificate (if applicable)

  • Format: PDF (.pdf)

  • Upload Requirement: This is for candidates applying under reserved categories.
  1. Request Letter for PwD Candidates

  • Format: PDF (.pdf)

FAQs

 

Ques. How to apply for UCEED 2025?

 

Ans. Candidates should register to appear in UCEED 2025. Only online registration via the Registration Portal is possible. Detailed instructions for the online application are provided on the Registration Portal. Online Registration starts on October 01, 2024.

 

Ques. How many months are required to prepare for UCEED?

 

Ans. Yes, it is possible to prepare for the UCEED exam in 6 months. The candidate must follow the revised syllabus and pattern to prepare for the exam.

 

Ques. Is UCEED tougher than Jee?

 

Ans. It is challenging in its own right, especially for those not from a design background, but generally considered less rigorous regarding technical content than JEE.

 

Ques. Is UCEED conducted twice a year?

 

Ans. Further, result-sharing institutes will only fill some available seats based on UCEED scores. The UCEED exam is conducted once every year, typically in January.

 

Ques. Does IIT Delhi accept UCEED scores?

 

Ans. Admission to the B. Tech. in Design programme at IIT Delhi will be based on JEE (Advanced) rankings. However, the aspirants will also have to qualify for UCEED.

 

Ques. Is UCEED easy to crack?

 

Ans. UCEED 2025 admit card will be released on 3rd January 2025 online mode at uceed.iitb.ac.in. The CEED exam is slightly more complicated than the CEED exam. However, aspirants can easily crack the UCEED exam with good observation, general awareness, and problem-solving skills.

 

Ques. How many students apply for UCEED every year?

 

Ans. Every year, around 15,000 students appear in the UCEED exam to fill 225 B. Des seats offered by UCEED participating colleges.

 

Ques. Does MIT accept UCEED scores?

 

Ans. MIT Vishwaprayag University, Solapur, will allot some seats in their undergraduate programme for admission through UCEED for the academic year 2025-2026. The MIT Vishwaprayag University, however, will not be part of the Joint Admission Process conducted by IIT Bombay.

 

Ques. Does IIIT Delhi accept UCEED scores?

 

Ans. Admission will be based on the applicant's All India UCEED Rank 2024. Bonus points do not apply to this mode of admission. Admission will be based on the total marks obtained in class XII in 2024 examinations for the best five subjects, including Maths and bonus points as mentioned on the website.
