XAT Application Process 2026: Important Dates

XLRI has not officially confirmed the dates yet, but the application process is expected to begin from 15th July, 2025. Candidates can refer to the table below to check the dates of important events of XAT 2026.

XAT Application Process 2026: Registration Steps

XAT Application Process 2026 will be conducted entirely online. The registration process will take a maximum of 30 minutes to complete. Candidates can check below to know the step-by-step process of XAT 2026 Registration.

Step 1: Access the official website of XAT

Firstly, candidates need to go to xatonline.in.

Step 2: Registration

Candidates need to register themselves by filling out their names, phone number, and email IDs.

Step 3: Receiving the message in the mail ID

For verification, students will receive a verification link via their email ID, which they must click on to set a password.

Step 4: Log in

Once the email ID is verified and the password is set, candidates need to log in using the email ID and password by clicking on “log in”.

Step 5: Fill in personal details

After logging in, candidates must fill in their personal information, including their name, parents' names, gender, date of birth, age, phone number, marital status, blood group, nationality, and address.

Step 6: Academic qualification

After filling out the personal information, candidates must put their academic qualifications from class 10.

Step 7: Work experience and program details

Work experience is not mandatory, but those who possess work experience have to provide details. After selecting work experience, candidates need to fill in the program details and specify their city preferences.

Step 8: Uploading Photo and Signature

Candidates must upload their photo, signature, and identity proof; alternatively, they can also upload these documents from Digilocker (if available).

Step 9: Declaration

Once the photo and signature are uploaded, candidates must enter their name and date on the declaration page to confirm their registration.

Step 10: Pay fees

Candidates need to pay INR 2,200, and if they want to apply for the XLRI program, they need to pay an additional INR 200 per program. After making payment, the application process will be concluded, and registration will be confirmed.

 

XAT Application Process 2026: Registration Fees

The XAT 2026 Registration Fee is INR 2200 for both reserved and unreserved candidates. However, applicants who wish to apply for XLRI programs must pay an additional INR 200 per course. For foreign candidates, the fee is INR 5000. Below is the XAT registration fee structure.

XAT Application Process 2026: Photograph and Signature

For XAT 2026 Registration, candidates must upload a recent passport-size photo with a white background. The photo should be 200 x 230 pixels. The signature must be in black or blue ink on white paper, and its dimensions should be 140 x 60 pixels. XAT Application Process 2026: Important Points

At the time of XAT 2026 Registration, candidates need to keep some crucial points in mind. These include choosing up to six cities, paying fees using a credit or debit card, saving e-receipts, uploading a recent photograph, etc. Candidates can check the points below to know what points they should be aware of before XAT Application Process 2026.

  • Candidates have to select six preferred cities for exam seat allotment.
  • Candidates must have a credit or debit card to complete the payment process.
  • Candidates can pay the fees later, as it is not mandatory to pay the fees on the same day as form filling. However, it should be made before the last day of registration.
  • After paying the fees, candidates will receive an e-receipt indicating a successful payment.
  • Candidates must upload a recent photograph, which should be a light-coloured image with a white background (Dimensions should be 200 x 300 pixels)
  • Signatures should be done using black ink or blue ink on white paper. Its dimension should be 140 x 60 pixels.
  • Candidates who want to apply for the General Management Program at XLRI must have 56 months of working experience.
