IIT Delhi Courses and Fees

The IIT Delhi fees vary by program and level of study. For undergraduate programs, including B.Tech (in Aerospace, Chemical, CSE, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Biotech, and ECE), B.S. (Mathematics & Computing, Physics), and Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech), the fee is INR 107,350 per year. Similarly, the B.Des. (Bachelor of Design) program, which admits students from any stream through UCEED, also has a fee of INR 107,350 annually. For postgraduate programs, the fee for M.Tech, M.Tech + Ph.D., and M.Des programs is INR 79,800 per year. The MBA program, offered by the Department of Management Studies (DMS), has the highest fee at INR 300,000 per year. For science and humanities postgraduates, the M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and M.A. (Culture, Society and Thought programs each cost INR 59,800 annually. The same fee of INR 59,800 applies to the Ph.D. programs, which span 3 to 5 years depending on the research area

 

IIT Delhi Admission 2025

General Admission Steps:

  • Candidates must register for the relevant entrance exams (JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, and IIT JAM). Candidates must confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements for the desired program.
  • Selection Rounds: Candidates are counseled based on their entrance exam scores.
  • Cutoff and Merit List: Counseling bodies issue cutoffs, and merit lists are created for admission confirmation.

IIT Delhi Placement

The institute witnessed a record number of pre-placement offers (PPOs) and final placements across various engineering, management, and interdisciplinary programs. DMS placement statistics of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi batch 2022-2024 show strong performance in terms of placement. The cohort trend showed no significant variation in salary patterns, as the average CTC was INR 23.4 LPA, and the median was INR 22.05 LPA, to the graduates. The mean CTC obtained by the top 10 percent of students was significantly above INR 35 LPA and by the top 30 percent students, the mean CTC was INR 30.7 LPA, which showed excellent prospects among students exhibiting high performance. The highest CTC this batch attracted was INR 40.5 LPA, which indicates the competitive and attractive offers obtained in final placements.

 

IIT Delhi Scholarships

IIT Delhi provides a wide range of scholarships and financial assistance schemes to meritorious, economically disadvantaged, and deserving students in its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The institute offers a variety of merit-based, merit-cum-means, and need-based scholarships to assist students in continuing their education without financial constraints. Among the most notable is the Institute Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship, which is awarded to undergraduate students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who excel academically.
