A Diploma in Pharmacy is a 2-year course that teaches students how medicines work, how to prepare them, and how to give them safely to patients. It covers subjects like pharmacology, drug store management, and hospital pharmacy. Students learn to read prescriptions, measure doses, and understand how different medicines affect the body. This course prepares them to work as pharmacists or in medical stores and hospitals.

To get admission in Diploma in Pharmacy, a student must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Math as main subjects. Most colleges give admission based on Class 12 marks, but in some states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra, students have to clear entrance exams like JEECUP or DCECE. The process usually starts with filling out an online application, followed by counselling or direct admission, depending on the college. Some private colleges offer admission without any exam, purely on a merit basis.
