AEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria FAQs

What is the percentage criterion for the Amrita entrance exam 2026?

Candidates need at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in their Class 12th or equivalent examination to apply for AEEE 2026. Additionally, a minimum of 55% marks in each of the three subjects individually is required to be eligible for BTech admission through AEEE.

Does Amrita have percentage criteria?

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham does not have a 75% eligibility requirement for AEEE. The eligibility for AEEE 2026 is 60% aggregate in PCM and 55% individually in each subject, unlike the JEE Main 75% rule applicable in some institutes.

What are the minimum marks to qualify for the AEEE exam?

There is no fixed qualifying cut-off percentage announced before the exam. However, candidates must meet the 60% aggregate and 55% individual subject eligibility criteria to appear for AEEE. After the exam, the cut-off for ranks will vary based on seat availability and campus/course preference during counselling.

What is the AEEE exam for?

AEEE (Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering) is conducted for admission into BTech courses offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham at its Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Coimbatore campuses.

Is AEEE easier than JEE?

Many students find AEEE to be moderately easier than JEE Main because the difficulty level and competition are comparatively lower. However, good preparation is still important to secure a rank for the preferred campus and branch.

Is 7000 a good rank in Amrita?

A 7000 rank in AEEE is decent, and candidates with this rank often get admission in various branches at Amrita, depending on the campus and branch cut-offs for that year. Higher-demand branches like CSE may require a lower rank for top campuses.

My 10+2 result has not yet been released. Can I apply for AEEE?

Is AEEE conducted in multiple phases?

What subjects are included in the AEEE exam pattern?

Can I appear for both phases of AEEE 2026?
