MAT Registration 2026: December Application Form, Dates & Fee

MAT Registration 2026 for the December session is now open for both Paper Based Test (PBT) and Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates can apply for the December PBT until December 14, 2026, while the CBT registration window will remain open until December 21, 2026. The PBT is scheduled for December 20, followed by the CBT on December 27, 2026.

Candidates appearing for the MAT Exam 2026 can select PBT, CBT or both modes during registration. The application process includes account creation, selection of test mode and city, entering personal and academic details, uploading the required files, selecting management institutes and completing the fee payment.

How to Complete MAT Registration 2026?

The MAT application process 2026 is completed online through the AIMA MAT portal. New candidates first create an account using their email ID and mobile number and verify the details through OTP. Existing candidates can log in using their registered credentials and continue with the application.

Candidates then select the examination mode, test date and city, provide personal and academic information, upload the required photograph and signature, choose management institutes for score reporting and pay the applicable fee.

MAT Application Process 2026: Photograph and Signature Specifications

The photograph and signature must meet the prescribed upload requirements. Candidates should check the image quality and file size before uploading the files to avoid problems during form submission.

Note: AIMA specifies that the photograph should be a recent passport-size colour image taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background. The image should be clear and free from harsh shadows.

MAT Exam Fees 2026

The MAT application fee 2026 depends on the number of test modes selected. Candidates appearing for either PBT or CBT pay INR 2,300, while those choosing both modes pay INR 4,000.

Note: The combined PBT + CBT fee includes an additional INR 1,700 over the single-mode fee. The registration fee is non-refundable once paid.

Candidates who have already selected a test mode can also upgrade to an available additional mode by paying the applicable fee through the MAT dashboard. AIMA currently lists the upgrade fee as INR 1,700.

How Many Colleges Can Candidates Select During MAT Registration?

Candidates can select management institutes to which they want their MAT scores to be sent while completing the registration form. The standard MAT application allows candidates to select five management institutes.

Candidates opting for an additional MAT test can select two additional management institutes for sending their scores, taking the total selection limit to seven institutes.

Note: The additional two institute choices are available to candidates who opt for the additional test. Any applicable fee for additional institute choices should be checked against the latest AIMA MAT registration terms.

Candidates should carefully check the application form before final submission and payment. AIMA permits changes to certain application details after the candidate downloads and reviews the registration form, but some core identification details cannot be changed.
