MAT Exam Centres 2026: State-wise List

AIMA has released separate city lists for PBT and CBT. Some cities are available in both modes, while others are available only for one mode.

Important: The table above is based on AIMA's official September 2026 test-city list. AIMA may assign the actual venue within the selected city based on availability.

MAT Exam Centre 2026: Mode and Centre Allocation

For the September 2026 session, AIMA offers PBT, CBT and the combined PBT+CBT option. Candidates taking PBT or CBT appear at a physical test centre.

AIMA's current September 2026 information does not list IBT as a MAT test mode. The available options are PBT, CBT or PBT+CBT.

How to Select MAT Exam Centre 2026

Candidates select their test city while completing the MAT registration process. The available city options depend on the selected test mode and the current AIMA registration portal.

The basic process is:

Step 1: Visit the official MAT registration portal at mat.aima.in.

Step 2: Complete the required personal and academic details.

Step 3: Select PBT, CBT or PBT+CBT as applicable.

Step 4: Select the available test city from the options shown in the application form.

Step 5: Complete the document upload and application fee payment.

Step 6: Submit the application after checking all details carefully.

The final test venue is provided on the admit card. AIMA states that the admit card contains the candidate's name, form number, roll number, test date, test time and test venue address.

Note: Candidates should not rely on a city list from an older MAT session. Test cities can differ between administrations, so the options displayed in the current September 2026 application should be treated as the final list.

Is MAT Exam Centre Change Allowed?

Candidates should select their test city carefully during registration. AIMA's current registration guidance allows candidates to edit certain application details after downloading and reviewing the registration form, but it does not provide a blanket statement on changing an already allotted MAT test centre.

Therefore, candidates should not assume that the test city or allotted venue can be changed after submission. Any request regarding a centre change should be checked directly with AIMA.

Once the admit card is issued, candidates must report to the venue and address printed on the admit card.

MAT Exam Centre 2026: Important Dates

The September 2026 MAT schedule is different for PBT and CBT.

The PBT registration deadline has already passed. Candidates who want to appear for the September CBT can register until September 14, 2026.
