CEED Part B Exam Pattern 2027

Part B requires more than producing an attractive drawing. A response may need to communicate an idea, show how a problem has been understood, represent an object or scene, or explain a design solution. CEED 2027 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme affects how students should manage risk in the objective section. NAT, MCQ and MSQ responses may follow different rules, so the question type must be identified before answering. Part B is evaluated on the submitted design, drawing and writing responses.

Important: Use the CEED 2027 information brochure as the authority for question-wise marks. Marking details from older CEED cycles may not match the current paper and should not be copied without verification.

How Is the CEED 2027 Final Score Calculated?

The official formula combines the marks from both parts, assigning 25% weight to Part A and 75% to Part B.

For example, if a student scores 60 in Part A and 70 in Part B, the calculation would be:

• Part A contribution: 0.25 × 60 = 15
• Part B contribution: 0.75 × 70 = 52.5
• Final score: 15 + 52.5 = 67.5

This example explains the formula only. It is not an expected score, cutoff or admission prediction.

The Part A cutoff is a separate stage in the process. IIT Bombay announces the cutoff according to the official schedule, and Part B evaluation follows the applicable qualifying rules. CEED 2027 Exam Duration and Time Management

The complete examination runs for three hours, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Part A is scheduled for the first hour, and Part B occupies the remaining two hours under the published examination structure.
