INI CET 2026 prospectus for the May session was released by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on March 28 on its official website. The exam will be conducted on May 16, 2026. Along with the prospectus, the application form has also been released, and candidates can apply online till April 25, 2026. The application correction window will be available from April 30 to May 2, 2026.
Candidates should note that the application form is available in online mode only. AIIMS has fixed July 31 as the last date to complete the internship, and those completing it after this date will not be eligible. The admit card will be released on May 9, and the result will be announced by May 23, 2026. After the result, qualified candidates will be called for counselling.

INI CET 2026: Application Process
The INI CET Registration for various postgraduate courses for July begins with exam registration. Once candidates complete the introductory and final INI CET Application Process 2026, they are issued admit cards. After this, candidates must appear for the online examination conducted at various test centres across India. Those who qualify for the stipulated cut-off become eligible for admission to various master 's-level programs such as MS, MD, MDS, DM, and MCh.
Steps to Fill the INI CET 2026 Application Form?
Step 1: Generation of Registration ID
- Go to aiimsexams.org or enter mdmsmch.aiimsexams.ac.in/Login#!
- Click on ‘Academic courses’
- Select ‘MD/ MS/ MCh (6years)/ DM (6years)/ MDS’
- Click on ‘Proceed’
- The applicant is redirected to the PAAR Basic registration page
- In the new basic registration zone, select ‘Click here for new basic registration’
- Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Proceed’
- The basic Registration form will open on the screen
- Fill in the details in the relevant boxes
- Check the details carefully, as these cannot be changed past this stage
- Tick the checkbox after reading the declaration
- Click on ‘Generate registration ID and password’
- The system-generated registration ID will be displayed on the screen
- Note down this INI CET registration ID
- Click ‘Ok’ to proceed to step 2
Applicants will receive the registration ID and password on their registered mobile number and email ID. Therefore, they must provide correct details during the basic registration process.
Step 2: Uploading Images
- Applicants will be redirected to the PAAR Basic registration page
- They will have to use the applicant login zone and enter the registration ID and password
- A pre-filled form appeared on the screen
- Click on ‘Proceed’ to continue
- To edit the details, candidates had to click on ‘Edit’, make the desired corrections and select ‘Proceed’
- Upload the photograph and tick the checkboxes before clicking ‘I agree’
- Repeat the same process for the signature and thumb impression
- Read the declaration carefully and click on ‘Submit’
- The registration form will open on the screen
- Save and take a printout of this page for future reference

INI CET 2026: Preparation Tips
As INI CET is a PG-level exam, candidates must not leave any stone unturned to score well in the upcoming exam. They should pay attention to the following tips.
- Candidates need to keep themselves updated as per the latest INI CET pattern
- Prepare a plan to cover the whole INI CET syllabus in a strategic manner
- As the syllabus is at the UG level, candidates are advised to pay attention to all subjects of the MBBS course
- Candidates must know that superficial reading won’t help. In-depth knowledge of a subject is a must.

INI CET 2026: Admit Card
INI CET 2026 admit card for the May session will be released by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on its official website, aiimsexams.ac.in. As per the latest updates, the admit card is expected to be available in the second week of May 2026, around May 9–12. Candidates who complete the application process will be able to download it using their login credentials. The admit card will be issued in online mode only and will not be sent by post. It will contain important details such as exam date, timing, and exam centre. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre; they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

INI CET 2026: Cutoff
INI CET 2026 cutoff will be released by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences along with or after the result. The cutoff refers to the minimum qualifying marks or percentile required to be eligible for counselling. It may vary each year depending on factors like the number of candidates, the difficulty level of the exam, and available seats. Generally, candidates from the General category need around the 50th percentile, while candidates from the reserved categories, such as SC/ST, may require around the 45th percentile to qualify. Only those candidates who meet the cutoff will be shortlisted for the counselling process. The institute-wise and course-wise cutoffs will be released separately during counselling, which will decide admission to courses like MD, MS, DM, M.Ch, and MDS.

INI CET 2026: Counselling Process
INI CET counselling is conducted in four rounds: a mock round, a first round, a second round, and an open round. All counselling rounds are conducted online. The seat allocation process comprises online registration, choice filling and locking, verification of documents, payment of counselling fee, and INI CET 2026 seat allotment. The admission process for postgraduate courses through INI CET begins with registration. Online registration on the official AIIMS website is mandatory to participate in the counselling rounds. They must submit their speciality and college preferences on the official portal. AIIMS Delhi then prepares the seat allotment list for INI CET 2026 counselling, taking into account various factors such as the candidate's choices, seat availability, INI CET results, reservation criteria, and other relevant aspects. Step 1: Registration- The registration for INI CET counselling comprises the following steps:
- Candidates have to register themselves on the official website, aiimsexams.org, to apply for the INI CET counselling 2026
- After the registration process, a new candidate ID and password will be generated
Step 2: Filling the preferences- In this step, candidates will have to log in to their registered account and follow these instructions:
- Click on “Make Choice”
- To add a choice, select the preferred AIIMS institute
- Now click on “Add Choice”
- To remove a choice, click on the “Delete” option next to the drop-down
- After filling in the preferences, click on “Save”
- Recheck your preferences and confirm the choices
- Choices, once submitted, cannot be changed
Step 3: Mock Round of INI CET Counselling 2026 - Based on the preferences filled out by registered candidates, the seat allotment list for the mock round of INI CET counselling has been prepared.
Step 4: Final submission of campus preference- The final submission can be done as follows:
- This is the final chance for a candidate to edit or change the preferences before the final seat allotment list for INI CET is prepared
- Candidates who fail to fill in the preferences for a round of INI CET counselling 2026 will not be considered for the next round of counselling
Step 5: Seat allotment list for INI CET 2026- A final list of selected candidates will be prepared and displayed on the website.
Step 6: Accept or decline the allocated seat- Those who make it to the INI CET 2026 seat allocation list must decide whether to accept or reject the seat. Following their registration, users must select one of the following options:
- Option 1: Accept the allotted seat and give an accent that you are not interested in participating in further rounds.
- Option 2: Accept the seat and be willing to participate in the 2nd round.
If one chooses option 2, candidates must accept the seat allotted in the 2nd round. The seat allocated in the first round shall be considered vacated, and the same shall be automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit. Failure to join the upgraded seat shall lead to the imposition of the penalty of INR 3.00 Lakh. There is no option to refuse the seat allotted to you. Candidates must select the options after logging in to their account on the official website. If someone fails to select an option, then it will lead to forfeiture of the allocated seat and render the candidate ineligible for further rounds, except for the open round of Seat Allocation.
Step 7: Reporting to the Institute for verification of the documents- Candidates who accept the seat allocated to them have to report to the allotted institute for the verification of the documents. Those who fail to report to the institute will lose the seat allocated to them and will not be eligible to participate in the next round of counselling. However, candidates can participate in the open round of INI CET counselling.
