JEE Advanced 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria. The criteria to appear in the JEE exam are given below.
- Candidates must secure a rank within the top 2,50,000 students in JEE Mains 2026 exam.
- Candidates must have been born on or after 1 October 2001 to apply for JEE Advanced 2026. However, candidates from PwD, ST, and SC are given a five-year relaxation. Hence, these candidates must have been born on or after 1 October 1996.
- Interested candidates can only appear for JEE Advanced exam for two consecutive years, a total of two times.
- Candidates must have appeared for Class 12 for the first time in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing in 2026 (as per the official year structure). Moreover, they must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th. Candidates who have appeared for the class 12th board exam in 2023 or prior are not allowed to take JEE Advanced 2026 exam.
- Only candidates whose admission was cancelled after joining an IIT seat are ineligible. However, candidates who are preparing for any course in any IIT in 2024 for the first time are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2026.

How to Fill JEE Advanced 2026 Application Form?
The JEE Advanced registration is only conducted online. No offline application is accepted under any circumstances. Candidates who are eligible for JEE Advanced can follow the steps below to register for the exam.
Step 1: Authentication Using JEE Main Details
As JEE Advanced 2026 Application Form can be filled out only by candidates who have qualified JEE Mains exam with a rank up to 2,50,000, candidates have to authenticate themselves using JEE Main 2026 Application Number, registered mobile/email OTP, and date of birth.

- Issues with uploading documents or scanned images of photos and signatures often arise when the files don't meet the required specifications. To resolve this, adjust the file size or format using online tools to match the guidelines.
- Payment problems like failed transactions may occur due to slow internet or bank server issues. If this happens, try again later. If the payment status remains "not paid" after 24 hours, students must resubmit the payment. The previous amount will be refunded to your account.
- Site loading issues and timeout errors can also disrupt the process. To prevent these, ensure a stable internet connection and use updated browsers. If a timeout error occurs, clear your browser's cookies and history, then retry during less busy hours.
