Before applying for this exam, candidates must check the MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria 2026 for both 5-year and 3-year LLB programs:
For 3-Year LLB:
To be eligible for the 3-year LLB program in MH CET Law 2026, candidates must have completed their graduation in any stream with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST, 42% for OBC candidates in Maharashtra). Final-year students can also apply.
- Must be a graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum Marks Required:
- General category: 45%
- SC/ ST category: 40%
- VJNT, SBC, OBC category: 42%
- Candidates who completed class 10 or 12 through distance learning are eligible, provided they completed Classes 1 to 9 in a regular school recognised by a national or state board.
For 5-Year LLB:
To be eligible for the 5-year LLB program in MH CET Law 2026, candidates must have passed their Class 12 exam with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST, 42% for OBC candidates in Maharashtra). The age limit is 20 years for general category candidates and 22 years for reserved categories.
- Must have passed 12th grade (10+2) from a recognised board.

MH CET Law 2026 Registration Fees
The MH CET Law application fee must be paid online. Candidates can use Internet Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets to make the payment. Once the fee is paid, it cannot be refunded or transferred under any circumstances. The application fee varies based on the candidate's category.

The online MH CET Law application form can be completed in five steps:
Step 1: Online Registration
Visit the official website portal.maharashtracet.org or cetcell.mahacet.org and click on the application form link. Click on "New Registration" and fill in details like name, email ID, phone number, SSC & HSC marks, percentages, and passing years. After completing the registration, candidates will receive a registration ID and password on the screen, as well as via SMS and email.
Step 2: Uploading Documents
Candidates need to upload their photograph and signature as per the given guidelines. Once uploaded, they must click on "Save and Next" to proceed.

Step 3: Filling the Application Form
Candidates must fill in their details, including category (SC/ ST/ OBC, etc.), domicile, disability status (if applicable), education details, and test centre preferences (minimum three). After filling in the details, click on "Validate candidates' Details", and the application fee will be displayed based on the candidate’s category.
Step 4: Education Details
Enter SSC, HSC, or equivalent qualification details, click on "Validate candidates' Details", and then select "Save and Next". A preview of the form will be shown, and candidates must check all details carefully before selecting "I Agree" to apply.
Step 5: Fee Payment
Click on "Save and Next" to proceed with the application fee payment. Enter the captcha code and click "Submit". A dialogue box will appear—click "OK" to continue. Enter card or bank details for payment. After successful payment, the status will be updated within 48 hours. Candidates must print a copy of the application form and fee receipt for future reference.
