NEET PG 2026 examination date is 30 August 2026, and the results will be available in September 2026. Students will be able to access their results from the NBEMS website. Instead, their raw scores will be normalised and then used to prepare the NEET PG 2026 Merit List. For state-specific merit lists, the normalised score will be used, and if the state provides any incentive marks, they will only be added to these scores. • NEET PG 2026 Overall Rank: It helps determine the candidate's merit position among all the students who have appeared for the NEET PG examination in 2026. It provides a glimpse of the candidate’s overall rank among all the aspirants.
• All India 50% Quota Rank: This parameter is used to specify the overall merit position of those candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2026 and who are eligible for AIQ (All India Quota) of 50% medical seats. It is valid only for All India 50% Quota (MS/ MD/ PG) courses. Students can avail of the quota benefit only for the academic session 2026-26.
• All India 50% Quota (Category) Rank: It helps in determining the merit position of candidates among SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS category. It is also valid for only the All India 50% quota specified for MD/ MS/ PG Diploma programs.

How to Calculate NEET PG 2026 Marks?

A total of 200 multiple-choice questions are asked in the NEET PG exam, with the total marks being 800. To calculate your NEET PG raw score out of 800, you must employ the NEET PG marking scheme, which is as follows:

• 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer
• 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer
• No marks will be deducted for un-attempted questions

How to Challenge NEET PG Result 2026?

Candidates who appeared in the NEET PG 2026 examination cannot ask the authorities to recheck/ reevaluate their marks. However, candidates are permitted to challenge any question for technical errors within two days of the exam. Students cannot raise tickets (claims/ queries/ corrections) regarding the difficulty level of the exam. However, candidates can raise errors specifying technical difficulties within a two-day period after the results are declared.

NEET PG Result 2026s Tie-Breaking Rule

In case the NBEMS finds out that two or more candidates have obtained the same marks, a tie-breaking rule will be applied to determine their ranking position. The tie-breaking criteria will be as follows:

• If two candidates have the same normalised score, then the student with a lesser negative attempt in the entire NEET PG 2026 Question Paper will be given a higher rank.
• Following the above criteria, if the score remains the same, the student with a lesser negative response in section A will be given a better position.
• Similarly, the student with fewer negative attempts in section B will receive a higher rank if the negative attempts in section A are also the same.
• Following the same pattern, negative responses in Section C will be considered.
• Fewer negative responses in section D of the NEET PG 2026 Question Paper.
• Fewer negative responses in section E will be preferred.
• Lastly, the student with the highest aggregate percentage in all MBBS exams will be given a higher rank in the NEET PG Result 2026.
