Delhi NEET PG Counselling 2026 is different from the state counselling process followed in most parts of India. For major Delhi government medical colleges under the University of Delhi, 50% seats are filled through the All India Quota (AIQ) and 50% through the Delhi University Quota (DUQ), with both routes handled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates allotted a DU college then complete a separate admission registration and fee-payment process through the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMSC), University of Delhi.
The NEET PG 2026 examination has been conducted, but the MCC has not yet released the NEET PG 2026 counselling schedule. The MCC PG schedule page currently lists the 2025 PG counselling schedules, while its 2026 counselling activities are already live for other programmes. Therefore, registration and round-wise dates for Delhi NEET PG Counselling 2026 should be treated as To Be Announced (TBA) until MCC issues the official schedule.
Delhi NEET PG Counselling 2026: Important Points
- MCC, not a separate Delhi state counselling authority, handles the main counselling process for the University of Delhi PG seats.

- The 2026 FMSC registration fee is ₹3,000 per course for UR/OBC and applicable categories and ₹2,000 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- The University Annual Fee is ₹19,500 as mentioned in the 2026 bulletin and is subject to review.
- The final 2026 seat matrix should be checked on MCC/NMC before choice filling.
- AIIMS New Delhi is outside the NEET PG counselling process and admits through INI-CET.
- Delhi NEET PG 2026 college cutoffs cannot be confirmed until the 2026 MCC allotment results are released.

How Delhi NEET PG Counselling Works
Delhi does not operate a conventional state-quota counselling system for the University of Delhi colleges. The important distinction is between AIQ and Delhi University Quota (DUQ).
For the DU-affiliated medical colleges covered by FMSC, MCC conducts counselling for both the 50% AIQ seats and the 50% DUQ seats. However, DUQ eligibility is linked to completing the MBBS course from the University of Delhi; it is therefore not the same as a general Delhi domicile quota.
The broad admission route is:
This distinction is particularly important for candidates who completed their MBBS outside the University of Delhi and are considering Delhi colleges.
Delhi NEET PG Counselling 2026 Eligibility
The eligibility requirement depends on the quota through which the candidate seeks admission.
| Requirement | DU Quota | All India Quota |
| NEET PG 2026 | Required | Required |
| MBBS Degree | From University of Delhi | Recognised MBBS degree |
| Internship | Completed by the prescribed date | Completed by the prescribed date |
| Medical Registration | Required | Required |
| NEET PG Cutoff | Must qualify | Must qualify |
| University-specific condition | Applicable | Not applicable |
For DUQ, the FMSC bulletin specifies that the candidate should have completed the final MBBS examination from the University of Delhi and the required one-year internship by July 31, 2026. AIQ candidates must hold a recognised MBBS qualification and meet the internship requirement specified by FMSC.
Delhi NEET PG Registration 2026
Candidates do not begin the DU medical college admission process by registering separately with a Delhi state counselling authority. MCC registration is the first step for the counselling process.
After MCC registration, candidates need to:
- Register on the MCC counselling portal.
- Enter the required personal, academic and NEET PG details.
- Pay the applicable MCC counselling fee and security deposit.
- Fill and lock choices for Delhi colleges and other preferred institutions.
- Check the MCC seat allotment result.
- Report to the allotted institution if a seat is accepted.
- Complete additional FMSC registration if allotted a University of Delhi college.
FMSC has specifically stated that candidates allotted DU colleges through MCC must subsequently register on the FMSC admission portal, upload the required documents and pay the University Annual Fee.
Delhi NEET PG Counselling 2026 Fees
There are two separate fee components that DU college candidates should keep in mind: the FMSC admission registration fee and the University Annual Fee after allotment.
FMSC Registration Fee
| Category | Fee per Course |
| UR/OBC and other applicable categories | INR 3,000 |
| SC/ST/PwBD | INR 2,000 |
The University of Delhi bulletin specifies these course-wise registration fees for PG admission.
University Annual Fee
Candidates allotted a DU college are required to pay an annual University fee of INR 19,500, according to the 2026 FMSC bulletin. The bulletin also notes that this fee is under review and may change.
Candidates should not confuse these charges with the MCC counselling fee, security deposit or the tuition and other institutional charges payable after joining.
Documents Required for Delhi NEET PG Admission
Candidates allotted seats in Delhi should keep the original documents ready before the reporting stage. FMSC requires documents such as:
- NEET PG 2026 admit card
- NEET PG 2026 scorecard/result
- MCC seat allotment letter
- MBBS degree certificate
- MBBS detailed marksheets
- MBBS attempt certificate
- Internship completion certificate
- Medical registration certificate
- Class 10 and Class 12 certificates
- Category certificate, wherever applicable
- EWS/OBC-NCL certificate, wherever applicable
- PwBD certificate, wherever applicable
- Passport-size photograph
- Signature
- Employer NOC, wherever applicable
Candidates should carry the original documents along with the required photocopies at the time of admission.
Delhi NEET PG Seat Matrix 2026
The Delhi PG seat matrix is published through the official counselling authorities and may change before or between counselling rounds. NMC currently maintains the PG Broad Specialist Seat Matrix for 2026-27, while MCC publishes the counselling-specific seat matrix used during allotment.
For the University of Delhi medical institutions, the 2026 MD/MS seat position includes seats across institutions such as:
| Medical College/Institute | MD/MS Seats |
| Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) | 245 |
| Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) | 178 |
| University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) | 195 |
| VPCI | 10 |
| NIHFW | 10 |
| IHBAS | 12 |
| Kasturba Hospital | 8 |
| GIPMER | 13 |
| IRPGIMSR | 32 |
| Total | 703 |
*Seat position is subject to the final MCC/NMC counselling matrix and applicable quota/reservation distribution.
The final choice-filling matrix should always be checked on MCC because seats can be added, withdrawn, converted or redistributed before a counselling round.
Delhi NEET PG Colleges 2026
Delhi offers some of the most sought-after government PG medical seats in the country. Among the major institutions appearing in the NEET PG counselling ecosystem are:
| No. | Medical College/Institute | Type | Counselling Route |
| 1 | Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) | Government | MCC |
| 2 | Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) | Government | MCC |
| 3 | University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) | Government | MCC |
| 4 | Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) & Safdarjung Hospital | Central Government | MCC |
| 5 | Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences (ABVIMS) & Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital | Government | MCC |
| 6 | Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU)-affiliated medical colleges | Government/Private, as applicable | MCC/Institution-specific process |
| 7 | Other eligible Delhi institutions listed in the final MCC/NMC seat matrix | As per institution | As notified |
The exact colleges and courses available to a candidate depend on the final MCC seat matrix, quota, category and eligibility.
Important: AIIMS New Delhi follows the INI-CET admission system and should not be treated as a regular NEET PG counselling college.
Delhi NEET PG Cutoff 2026
The official Delhi NEET PG 2026 college-wise cutoff will be known only after MCC publishes the 2026 allotment results. Until then, the previous year's closing ranks provide a more useful indication of the competition than an unverified 2026 cutoff.
For the NEET PG qualifying cutoff, the minimum percentile remains the starting point:
| Category | Qualifying Percentile |
| General/EWS | 50th percentile |
| General PwBD | 45th percentile |
| SC/ST/OBC | 40th percentile |
For highly preferred Delhi government colleges, competition is considerably tougher than the qualifying cutoff. In 2025, for example, General Medicine closed at very high ranks at institutions such as ABVIMS/RML, MAMC, VMMC, LHMC and UCMS. The exact closing rank varied by round, category and course.
Expected Delhi NEET PG Cutoff 2026
The following ranges should be treated as indicative, not official 2026 cutoffs:
| College | Popular Course | Expected 2026 Closing Rank Range |
| ABVIMS/RML | MD General Medicine | 1–20 |
| VMMC | MD Radiodiagnosis | 1–60 |
| MAMC | MD Radiology | 1–80 |
| MAMC | MD General Medicine | 1–100 |
| LHMC | MD General Medicine | 50–150 |
| UCMS | MD General Medicine | 100–300 |
*Estimated from previous-year closing-rank trends. Actual 2026 cutoffs will depend on candidate preferences, seat matrix, category, round and MCC allotment rules.
Candidates should therefore avoid treating an expected cutoff as a guaranteed rank requirement.
Delhi NEET PG Seat Allotment 2026
MCC will conduct the seat allotment for the participating Delhi institutions through its online counselling system. The result will show the college, course and quota against which the seat has been allotted.
A candidate receiving a Delhi seat should check the allotment letter carefully before deciding whether to join, upgrade or participate in a subsequent round. For a DU college, MCC allotment is not the end of the admission process. The candidate must complete the additional FMSC registration, document submission and University fee payment required by the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
Candidates should also remember that the available seats can change from one round to another as candidates upgrade, resign or leave seats vacant.
