NEET Seat Matrix 2025 will be allocated through NEET Counselling 2025. Every year, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) updates the changes in the total number of medical seats to be offered through NEET exam. For 2025, the MCC will allocate 15% of seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) to the top government medical colleges across India. The remaining 85% of seats will be allocated to NEET-qualified candidates through the State Counselling, under the State Quota, by the respective states. Currently, there are more than 1,00,000 MBBS seats, 2,868 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats, and 630 BVSc and AH seats that are expected to be allocated through NEET 2025. However, in the recent past, new government medical colleges have been inaugurated, and nearly 55,880 MMBS seats have been created in 386 government medical colleges.

NEET Seat Matrix 2025: Overview

The MCC will release the seat matrix on its official website before the commencement of AIQ NEET Counselling 2025. Given below is a quick overview of the NEET 2025 Seat Matrix that students must know about:


  • The number of medical seats at the UG level has been observed to rise by 112%. It has increased from 51,348 in 2014 to 1,08,990 in 2024. 
  • Admission into AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER will be done based on the NEET scores 2025. Hence, the seat matrix for 2025 will also include 2196 seats for MBBS in 21 AIIMS colleges. 
  • The seat matrix for BAMS, BUMS, and BHMS will be published by the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC).

How Many Seats Are Available in NEET 2025?

To secure admission into central universities, such as the Delhi University, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University, and Banaras Hindu University, students are required to meet certain eligibility requirements. They are as follows:

Students who belong to the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) get a provision of 27% of seats in national colleges/ central universities through AIQ.
