NEET Counselling Process 2025

NEET 2025 Counselling involves multiple steps: registration, choice filling, choice locking, document verification, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted college. Given below is the detailed description of each step involved in the NEET Counselling 2025 process:

  • Registration: The first and foremost thing students should consider doing is registering at the MCC official website. The NEET counselling window for each round will be opened, and students must register before the deadline. During registration, students must enter their personal and educational details, including the NEET result, and pay the registration fees.
  • Choice Filling: After completing the registration process, students have to fill in their choices by logging into the candidate portal. They need to choose their choice of colleges and courses in order of preference. Candidates can choose from any available colleges in the list and add or delete them. After this step, they should save the choices for future use.
  • Choice Locking: The next step includes choice locking, where candidates are required to lock the choice they have made and get a printout of their submitted choices. It is important to note that they should not wait till the last time to lock their choices after registering on the MCC website. Also, before locking, they should go through all their choices. It is because once students lock their choices, no further modifications can be made.
  • Verification by Colleges and Universities: After students have completed the choice filling and locking procedure, the universities or colleges verify them. All the details submitted by the candidates are thoroughly verified. Based on this, the seat allotment result is declared.
  • Seat Allotment: MCC releases the seat allotment result for the candidates who have registered fr the counselling and have locked their choices. Initially, a provisional seat allotment result is declared. If candidates find any discrepancy, they can submit their objections. Finally, the authorities release the final seat allotment result on the official website. Based on this result, students can either accept their allotted colleges or upgrade to seats. If they decide to upgrade, students must register for the next round of counselling.
  • Reporting to the Allotted Colleges: Once the seat allotment results are out, and students have accepted them, they will have to report to the allotted college for final admission. This step includes verification of documents and confirmation of the seat. Students must report to the allotted colleges within the specified time. Otherwise, it may lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
