Along with the NEET Result, the NTA will also release the NEET Merit List 2026 on the official website. An overall merit list will also be released, carrying details of all the candidates who cleared the NEET 2026. Further, the NTA will share these merit lists with the authorities responsible for counselling (national and state quota seats). The NEET Merit List 2026 will contain details such as the candidate’s merit rank, marks, roll number, and percentile. Overall Merit List: The overall merit list contains details, like names and ranks, of the candidates who appeared for the NEET 2026. This is the first merit list prepared by the NTA, and it is forwarded to all counselling bodies, including national and state-level ones.

15% AIQ Merit List: This merit list consists of only the candidates who qualify for the NEET UG Result 2026. The Medical Counselling Committee prepares this merit list.

State Quota Merit List: The state quota merit list is prepared by every state for counselling purposes to fill up the 85% state quota seats. This merit list will include only those candidates who have qualified for the NEET 2026 and have registered for the counselling of that respective state. The NEET 2026 merit list depends on the NEET 2026 Question Paper difficulty level.

How to Check NEET Merit List 2026?

• Go to the official NTA NEET website and click on the “NEET 2026 Result” link on the homepage.

• To check names, candidates must press “CTRL+F” and search for their names.
