Detailed RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2025

To apply for RRB Group D 2025, candidates need to meet certain eligibility requirements set by the Railway Recruitment Board. These include age limit, educational qualifications, nationality, and medical/physical fitness standards. Nationality or Citizenship

RRB Group D Qualification includes nationality or citizenship. To be eligible for RRB Group D job posts, students must fall under one of the following categories:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of settling in India.

Note: If students fall under the last four categories (Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, or person of Indian origin), they will need a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit for RRB Group D (As of 1st January 2025)

  • The basic age requirement is between 18 and 36 years for general category candidates.
  • Candidates’ date of birth should be between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007, depending on their category.

RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 2025

Apart from clearing the written exam, candidates applying for RRB Group D must also pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This test is designed to check aspirants’ physical endurance and fitness, and it’s an important part of the selection process. The details are provided below:

 

RRB Group D Eligibility for Male:

  • Candidates must lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes, in one attempt, without putting the weight down.
  • They must also be able to run 1000 meters (1 km) in 4 minutes and 15 seconds, again in one attempt.

RRB Group D Eligibility for Female:

  • Female candidates must lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes, in one attempt, without putting the weight down.
  • They must also be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds, in one attempt.

For Persons with Disabilities (PWD):

  • PWD candidates are exempted from the Physical Efficiency Test.
  • However, after clearing the CBT (Computer-Based Test), they will need to pass the medical examination that is specifically prescribed for their category.
