Candidates should focus on the key points as shown below before appearing for CBT.

  • Equal focus on all four subjects is necessary because sectional cut-offs are not applied, but overall merit is important.
  • General Science and Reasoning carry more weight together (55% of marks).
  • Current Affairs questions are recent, so preparing from the last 6–8 months before the exam is crucial.
  • Mathematics is mostly basic arithmetic; practice improves speed and accuracy.

RRB Group D Preparation Tips 2025

RRB Group D is one of the most competitive railway exams in India. Lakhs of candidates apply, but only a few qualify. To increase candidates' chances, they must follow a structured preparation strategy that covers the exam pattern, syllabus, practice, and revision.

  • Study 2 subjects daily instead of all four together.
  • Give extra focus on Reasoning (30%) and Science (25%) since they carry more weight.
  • Read current affairs daily for at least the last 6–8 months.
  • Manage time: aim for less than 1 minute per question.
  • Stay healthy and take breaks to avoid burnout.
