SBI Clerk Application 2025: State Bank of India (SBI) closed the online application window for SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) on August 26, 2025. The registration process started on August 6, 2025. Candidates had to complete steps such as registration, filling in details, uploading scanned documents (including photo, signature, thumb impression, and declaration), previewing the form, and making a fee payment.

 

Applications were accepted only in online mode through the SBI careers portal: bank.sbi/careers or sbi.co.in/careers. No offline applications were permitted. Candidates were required to have a valid email ID and mobile number for the registration process, since all communication is done electronically.

 

The application fee was INR 750 for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-servicemen (XS) categories were exempted from fee payment. The correction window was also available within the prescribed dates. Once submitted successfully, candidates received confirmation of their application. SBI has declared a total of 6,589 vacancies of Junior Associates this year.

How to Apply Online for SBI Clerk 2025?

SBI Clerk 2025 application form could be filled in five simple steps:

 

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the SBI Careers portal.
  • Open the advertisement “Recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales)”.
  • Click on “Apply Online” → “New Registration”.
  • Enter basic details like name, phone number, and email ID.
  • A registration number and password were generated after successful registration.

Step 2: Upload Photograph & Signature

  • Candidates had to upload scanned copies of their passport-sized photo, live image, and signature.
  • Photo specifications: 200 x 230 pixels, size 20–50 KB.
  • Signature specifications: 140 x 60 pixels, size 10–20 KB.

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

  • Select state, official language, category, and exam centres (for prelims and mains).
  • Enter personal details like date of birth, gender, parents’ names, address, etc.
  • Fill in educational qualification and work experience details.

Step 4: Upload Thumb Impression & Declaration

  • Candidates needed to upload a scanned left-hand thumb impression and a handwritten declaration.

Step 5: Preview & Final Submit

  • Before final submission, candidates had to verify all details.
  • No changes were allowed once the form was submitted.

Step 6: Fee Payment

  • Fee was accepted via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
  • On successful payment, the system generated an E-receipt and an application printout.

SBI Clerk Application 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates had to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

  • Age limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years (relaxations applicable for reserved categories).
  • Education: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. There is no percentage requirement.
  • Others: Candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) were eligible if their degree was completed on or before the last date of registration.

SBI Clerk Application 2025: Exam Centre

SBI conducts its SBI Clerk preliminary and main examinations at numerous test centres across the country, covering over 170 cities. The detailed list of cities where the exams will be held is provided with the official notification every year.
