Master of Science (MSc) is a postgraduate level degree course in science and research in a variety of subjects. Master of Science is usually two-year long, and it focuses on specialization in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and so on. MSc admission in Tamil Nadu, requires a candidate’s passing marks (55% marks approx.) in a B.Sc degree from a recognized university.

 

Admission is usually done through entrance tests such as the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) or merit-based admission organized by individual universities. The candidates should complete an online registration form, submit the application form, attach documents that are required and pay the application fee. Shortlisted candidates attend counseling sessions and pay fees to ensure admission after a passage of entrance exams.

Tamil Nadu MSc Eligibility Criteria

Master of Science eligibility criteria in Tamil Nadu is listed below:

  • The candidates must have completed a B.Sc. in a related field. (for example in B.Sc. Chemistry), from a recognized university. The minimum marks required is at least 50% in undergraduate studies (45% for SC / ST candidates).
  • The students must follow Tamil Nadu reservation guidelines and an equivalent certificate is needed if your undergraduate course is done from outside CBSE or TN boards.
  • Part-II backlog or pending papers may be allowed provisionally and final marks must be uploaded before admission confirmation.
  • Instruction is entirely in English language, and admission will take place via online application through the college portal.

The admission process for MSc at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women is listed below in few steps:

 

Step 1: The students must register online via the college admission portal where multiple PG programmes can be selected and each requires a separate application.

 

Step 2: Submit the scanned copies of UG mark sheets, community/domicile certificate, equivalence certificate (if applicable), ID proof, and passport-sized photo.
