| Response | Marks |
| Correct Answer | +1 |

AILET 2027 Tie-Breaking Criteria
NLU Delhi uses different tie-breaking rules for B.A. LL.B. and LL.M. candidates. The rules are applied when two or more candidates secure the same total marks in AILET 2027.
| Programme | Tie-Breaking Order | How the Tie Is Resolved |
| B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) | 1. Logical Reasoning marks | The candidate who scores higher marks in the Logical Reasoning section gets the higher merit position. |
| 2. Seniority in age | If the candidates also have the same Logical Reasoning marks, the older candidate is placed higher in merit. | |
| 3. Computerised draw of lots | If the tie still remains after considering Logical Reasoning marks and age, NLU Delhi uses a computerised draw of lots to decide the merit position. | |
| LL.M. | 1. Seniority in age | When candidates obtain the same overall marks, the older candidate gets preference. |
| 2. Computerised draw of lots | If the candidates are of the same age, the final merit position is decided through a computerised draw of lots. |
Important: For B.A. LL.B., Logical Reasoning is therefore the first additional score considered after the overall AILET marks. For LL.M., there is no section-wise score used as the first tie-breaker; NLU Delhi moves directly to seniority in age. The official AILET 2027 LL.M. exam details confirm the age-based tie-break followed by a computerised draw of lots.
