AILET 2026: The National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) has revised the exam date along with the registration date. As per the latest revision, the AILET 2026 Online Application Form and admission notice will be available on the official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in from August 07, 2025, to November 10, 2025. The exam will take place on December 14, instead of December 7. The AILET 2026 exam is being conducted for admission to 5-Year B.A.LL.B. The AILET 2026, also known as the All India Law Entrance Test, is a national-level law examination. The entrance test is conducted annually in offline (pen & paper) mode. The NLU Delhi has revised the AILET 2026 registration and exam dates as per its official notification. The exam is scheduled to be held on December 14, 2025 (Sunday), instead of December 7. AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants are advised to check the eligibility criteria for AILET exam before filling out the online application form. Only eligible candidates will be shortlisted by the NLU Delhi for admission. BA LLB Programme

  • Candidates must have passed the ICSE, CBSE, or CISCE state or National Board of Education's class 12 exam or an equivalent examination.
  • Candidates who fall into the General or OBC category must have received 45% of the total score in the Class 12 exam.
  • If they provide the necessary documentation as evidence, members of the SC, ST, or PwD categories may be eligible for a 5% reduction in the minimum qualifying score. They are qualified for AILET 2025 if their scores are 40% or above.
  • Candidates from any category other than SC, ST, and PwD are not eligible for a reduction of the minimum score.
  • There is no age limit specified to appear for the AILET 2026 exam.

LLM Programme

  • A three- or five-year LLB degree or an equivalent legal degree certificate should have been obtained by candidates from an accredited university.
  • They should have received at least 50% of the overall score in the overall degree exams.
  • SC, ST, and PwD candidates have been given a 5% mark relaxation, meaning they should receive 45% in the degree exam.
  • Final year LLB students appearing for their qualifying exams are also eligible for the AILET exam.
  • There is no age limit specified to appear for the AILET 2026 exam.

Ph.D

  • Candidates who have completed their LLM programme or equivalent degree with at least 55% score from a recognised institution are eligible.
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates must have completed their LLM Programme or equivalent with at least 50% score are eligible.
  • There is no age limit specified to appear for the AILET 2026 exam.

 

AILET 2026 Application Process

The AILET 2026 Registration will begin from August 07, 2025 onwards. NLU Delhi will conduct the AILET 2026 Application Process. The online application form of AILET will be released online at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Applicants will need to meet the eligibility criteria, fill out the application form online, and pay the requisite registration fee before the deadline.   1. Interested candidates need to visit the NLU Delhi’s official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in or www.nludelhi.ac.in.
  2. Next, click on the ‘Register to Apply Now’ to create a login account. Enter details like name, email address, create a password, date of birth, mobile number, & contact number.
  3. Click on the ‘confirm registration’ and login back.
  4. Now, select any law course that one is applying for such as B.A.LL.B. (Hons), LLM, or Ph.D. Then, click on the ‘Apply Now’ option.
  5. Fill out the application form with details about religion, category, nationality, exam centre, address of communication, education details, & parents’/ guardian details.
  6. Upload required documents in their prescribed size or format.
  7. Pay the requisite amount of application fee via online (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking) or offline (Cash Deposit at Post Office) mode.

 

AILET 2026 Application Fee

After filling out the AILET Application form 2026 and uploading the required documents, it is mandatory to pay the application fee. The AILET 2026 application fee can be paid in both online and offline modes. In online mode, candidates can pay the fees via Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking, while ‘Cash Deposit at Post Office in offline mode. Documents Required for AILET 2026 Registration

Applicants will need some specific documents to be uploaded during the AILET 2026 application process. Those documents need to be uploaded in their prescribed format and size. The documents should be in the following format and size:

  • Photographs should be less than 150 KB in JPG/GIF/BMP format. The photocopy should be a scanned copy of a recent photograph covering at least 75% of the photo with a light background.
  • Signature should also be less than 150 KB in JPG/GIF/BMP format. It must be a clear scanned copy in black or blue ink on a light background.

AILET 2026 Application Form Correction

The National Law University Delhi will provide the application form correction facility for making necessary corrections in the AILET application form 2026. The application form correction window will be opened for a specific time period within which the students will need to make their necessary edits, rectify any error or update information. AILET 2026 Exam Pattern (Revised)

The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026 will be conducted by NLU Delhi in a pen-and-paper mode. The BA LLB paper now consists of 120 questions instead of 150. The AILET exam will be conducted for 120 minutes (2 hours) in English. For LLM, the paper includes both objective and subjective questions. A negative marking of 0.25 marks applies to both programs. To prepare well for AILET 2026, candidates must follow a focused and consistent approach. Students must start by understanding the AILET exam pattern and syllabus. AILET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates must carefully follow the instructions mentioned on their AILET 2026 admit card. They should reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam to complete the verification process. It is mandatory to carry an original photo ID and the admit card to gain entry into the exam hall.
