CUET UG 2025 Result (Out), Scorecard, Percentile, and Normalization Process

CUET UG Result 2025 has been released on July 4, 2025 at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA has also released CUET Final Answer Key 2025 on July 2, 2025. CUET final scores are calculated based on the revised CUET UG 2025 Answer Key. To download the NTA scorecard PDF, candidates must enter their CUET application number and date of birth. NTA will also share the CUET subject-wise number of students who appeared for the exam, qualified candidates, and the names of the toppers, along with the CUET UG Result 2025. NTA conducted CUET 2025 exam between May 13 and June 03, 2025, in a CBT format.

How to Download CUET Result 2025?

To download the CUET result 2025, follow the steps below:

• Visit the official CUET UG website: exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/

• Click on the 'CUET UG 2025 Scorecard' tab.

• The CUET 2025 login page will appear. Enter the following login details: Application number, and Date of Birth or Password

• After entering the details, the CUET scorecard 2025 PDF will be displayed and can be downloaded.

• It is advised to take a printout of the result scorecard for future reference.

CUET Score 2025 Re-Evaluation

After the CUET result 2025 is declared, no requests for re-evaluation of the scores will be accepted. The marks and percentile shown in the CUET UG 2025 scorecard will be considered final. Candidates can raise objections against the CUET 2025 provisional answer key until the specified date.

CUET UG 2025 Passing Marks

To determine whether a candidate has passed the CUET 2025 exam, they must check the passing marks set by the colleges or universities. After the CUET result is announced, each college or university will release the course-wise passing marks, also known as the CUET UG cutoff. These cutoff marks will be used to shortlist candidates for admission to undergraduate courses.

CUET UG Result 2025: Calculate of Final Score

The CUET UG marking scheme is as follows:

• Correct Answer: +5 marks will be awarded for each correct answer in the CUET UG exam.
• Incorrect Answer: -1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer in the CUET UG exam.
• Unanswered or Marked for Review: No marks (0) will be given for unanswered questions in the CUET UG exam.
• Multiple Correct Answers: If more than one answer is correct, +5 marks will be given to candidates who select any of the correct answers in the CUET UG exam.
• All Correct Options: If all options are correct, +5 marks will be given to all candidates who attempt the question in the CUET UG exam.
• Dropped or Incorrect Questions: If a question is found to be wrong or dropped, +5 marks will be awarded to all candidates who attempted that question in the CUET UG exam.

Additionally, after calculating the raw scores, NTA will apply the CUET UG normalization method for subjects that are conducted in multiple sessions.

CUET UG Result 2025: Marks Vs Percentile

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) evaluates a candidate's performance through two main measures: CUET marks and CUET percentile. CUET marks represent the total score a candidate achieves based on the exam’s marking scheme. In contrast, the CUET percentile indicates a candidate's relative performance compared to other candidates, taking into account different exam sessions. CUET accepting colleges use either the CUET percentile or the normalized score to determine admissions, offering a fair comparison across sessions and helping institutions select candidates for various undergraduate programs.

How is CUET 2025 Percentile Score Calculated?

NTA uses the below formula to calculate the CUET percentile score after applying the normalization process:

Percentile = 100 * (number of candidates with equal or lower raw score) / (total number of candidates)

For example, if there are 1000 candidates who appeared in a session and 100 of them have a raw score equal to or less than yours, then your percentile would be 10%.

The percentile is a measure of how well you did relative to the other candidates who took CUET UG. It is a more accurate measure of your performance than your raw score, because it takes into account the difficulty of the exam and the performance of the other candidates.

CUET Result 2025: Normalisation Process

The CUET normalization process ensures fairness by adjusting scores across different exam sessions, accounting for variations in difficulty levels. This process is commonly used in state and national-level entrance exams for undergraduate admissions. During the CUET UG 2025 exam, candidates appearing in different sessions are ranked on a comparative scale. If one session is easier than another, the marks for the easier session may be slightly reduced, while the marks for the harder session may be slightly increased. This adjustment depends on the average performance of each session. If there is no significant difference in performance, there will be no noticeable change in the marks. The CUET percentile score is calculated up to seven decimal places to ensure accurate ranking and to avoid grouping multiple candidates in the same score range.
