CUET Normalisation Process 2026
NTA uses a normalisation method to bring fairness to the exam. Normalisation Process is about adjusting the marks of the candidates based on the difficulty level of the exam. Like, if in one of the shifts, if the difficulty level of the exam is low, then NTA will reduce the candidate’s marks, whereas if the difficulty level of the other slot is high, then NTA will increase their marks. But if there is no difference in the difficulty level of the exam, then there will be no change in marks.
CUET Percentile Calculation 2026
NTA will calculate the CUET 2026 Percentile after applying the normalisation method to the candidate’s score. The percentile shows the candidate’s performance relative to the candidate's score. The CUET Percentile Score is calculated up to 7 decimal places to avoid ties.
The basic formula that is followed by the NTA for the calculation of the percentile is:
Percentile = 100 * (number of candidates with scored equal to or less than the candidate) / (total number of candidates who appeared).
