UPSC ESE Admit Card 2027 Release Date
The notice does not give a fixed calendar date. It sets a rule: the e-admit card is issued on the last working day of the week before the exam. Candidates who changed their scribe seven days before the exam get their e-admit card three days before the exam. Applying this rule gives the following dates, which are calculated estimates until UPSC releases the e-admit card:
| Admit card | ESE 2027 (expected, as per the notice rule) | ESE 2026 (actual) |
| Prelims admit card | 22 January 2027 (exam on Sunday, 31 January 2027) | 30 January 2026 (exam on 8 February 2026) |
| Prelims admit card after scribe change | 28 January 2027 | – |
| Mains admit card | 11 June 2027 (exam on Friday, 18 June 2027) | 12 June 2026 (exam on 21 June 2026) |
| Personality Test e-Summon letter | After the Mains result | Issued before the interviews from 21 September 2026 |

The ESE 2026 dates fit the same rule: 30 January 2026 and 12 June 2026 were both the Friday of the week before each exam. The expected 2027 dates are subject to UPSC's schedule.
UPSC ESE 2026 Interview e-Summon Letter
For the ESE 2026 Personality Test (21 September to 30 October 2026), UPSC issues an e-Summon letter instead of an admit card. As per the notice, it is generated after shortlisted candidates log in to the Common Application Form module on upsconline.nic.in, verify or update their details and submit. Candidates should carry their original certificates, as eligibility is verified at this stage. For result updates, see the UPSC ESE result page.

| Admit card of another candidate received | Inform UPSC immediately and ask for the correct one; you cannot take the exam on another candidate's admit card |
