Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET)

The Combined Entrance Test (CET) for admission into various session of postgraduate courses including MD, MS, DM (6 years), M.Ch. (6 years) and MDS at the institutes of National Importance (INIs) for Medical Education namely, AIIMS- New Delhi and all new AIIMS, JIPMER- Punducherry, NIMHANS- Bengaluru, PGIMER-Chandigarh and SCTIMST- Trivandrum.

INI CET is administered by the Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi in consultation with nodal officers from all INIs. AIIMS, New Delhi is the sole authority for conduct of all aspects related to combined entrance test such as application, conduct of exam, declaration of result, seat allocation as its responsibility is limited to these aspects of INI-CET only.

INI CET 2025 Application process

The 3rd week of September 2024 is when the application form is expected to be made available. For applying for this entrance examination the candidates should have passed their MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6 years/ MCH-6 years and BDS degree for MDS courses will be eligible for the entrance examination.

Registration process for INI CET 2025

Candidates should follow the steps to apply for INI CET 2025:

  1. The candidates should visit the official website of the Institute for registration.
  2. Required to complete the registration & basic candidate information and uploading of images.
  3. An accepted registration & basic candidates information including images of photo, signature and thumb impression is prerequisite for generation of code.
  4. After the code is generated for INI-CET, applicants are required to proceed for applying for INI-CET, at the completion of the application page.
  5. A valid registration ID, password and exam unique code (EUC) for INI-CET, is required to be able to log in for completion of the application form.

INI CET 2025 Eligibility

Candidates can check the course-wise eligibility criteria for 2025:

For Indian Nationals
  • A candidate must possess an MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6 years/ MCH-6 years and BDS degree for MDS courses.
  • Must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating internship/ practical training on.
  • Minimum Marks in MBBS/ BDS or equivalent examinations
For Foreign Nationals
  • A candidate must possess an MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6 years/ MCH-6 years and BDS degree for MDS courses.
  • Must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating internship/ practical training on.
  • Candidates are required to obtain a certificate of grading system from applicable University/ Institution to determine the value of grading in percentage.
  • The eligibility of applicants with respect to the minimum marks in aggregate in all the MBBS/BDS professional examinations will be 55% aggregate or equivalent.

INI CET 2025 Admit Card

Candidates should have downloaded the hall ticket from the official website of the University. To download the admit card, candidates should have to enter their registered email ID and password that was generated during the registration process. Candidates have to carry a print copy of the hall ticket along with two passport-size recent colour photographs at the exam centre on the day of the exam.

INI CET 2025 Result

AIIMS will declare 2025 on their official website. The link to check the result will be updated on the website. To check the result candidates have to provide their email ID and password to check the result of INI CET 2025. Candidates who have qualified for the will be eligible to appear in the counselling. The counselling of the candidates will be conducted based on the ranking of students.

Seat Allocation

The seat allocation for the available postgraduate seats in participating INIs shall be done through online mode only. The seat allocation shall be conducted for at least 2 rounds followed by an open round. For 1st and 2nd round of seat allocation, qualified candidates will be called for seat allocation from the list of eligible candidates for admission. The seat allocation shall be done in order of merit, choices made by the candidate and as per the reservation policies of individual INIs with regards to Institutional preference, community reservation (OBC, SC,ST, EWS etc) AND PwBD as applicable, through a process of Institute-wise synchronisation of seat allocation (In SAS).
