NEET SS 2024 Cutoff will be Released along with the result on the the official website. The NEET SS 2024 Result will be declared on April 30, 2025.
NEET SS 2023 cutoff was revised by NBEMS as per the recommendation by NMC. Based on the letter by the Ministry of Health, Government of India, the NEET SS cutoff 2023 was reduced from 50th percentile to 20th percentile for each of the 13 groups of specialisations.
The original NEET SS 2023 cutoff was released along with the result online on the NBEMS website on October 16. While the NEET SS counselling 2023 is underway, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has recommended reducing the NEET SS cutoff 2023 to 20 points. "The issue has been considered by the Ministry in consultation with the National Medical Commission (NMC). The NMC has recommended for cut off qualifying percentile for NEET SS-2023 may be reduced to 20 points. The recommendation of the NMC has been approved by the Hon'ble HFM. It is requested to take further necessary action in this matter," reads a letter by the Government of India sent to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the exam conducting body.
The cutoff is the minimum percentile of marks required to qualify for the exam in that particular super speciality. The qualifying NEET SS 2023 cutoff was 50 percentile and the cutoff marks were released by NBE after the result according to this, which has now been reduced to 20 percentile. Candidates who score the minimum cutoff score are eligible for NEET SS 2023 counselling. NEET SS 2023 exam was held on September 29 and September 30. The exam dates were postponed on account of the G20 Summit hosted by India. NBE uploaded the NEET SS 2023 result on October 15 and announced the NEET SS cutoff 2023 along with the scorecard.
The NEET SS 2024 exam will be conducted on March 29 and March 30, 2025. NBEMS has released the tentative schedule for the exam. The result will be declared tentatively in the second week of April 2025. The NEET SS cutoff for 2024 will be released along with the result. It is expected that the NEET SS cutoff 2024 will be similar to that of last year.

NEET SS 2024 Cut off FAQs
Will the NEET SS rank list change if the cut off is revised?
No, revision of the NEET SS cut off or qualifying percentile will not affect the rank obtained by the candidate in any way. However, in case the NEET SS cutoff is lowered, and more candidates qualify for the exam, then all those candidates will be eligible to participate for the NEET SS counselling process. Last year, additional rounds of NEET SS counselling were conducted since the cutoff was reduced later, to give equal scopes to the newly qualified candidates of the exam. However, their merit positions or the All India Ranks did not change.
Ques.Will there be a reduction in the NEET SS 2024 cutoff?
NMC had recommended the reduction of NEET SS cutoff 2023 to 20 points. In a letter written by the Government of India to NBEMS, the exam conducting body, it has been requested to revise the cutoff marks for each specialisation as per the NMC recommendation. At times, cutoff is reduced to fill seats remaining vacant after counselling. MCC had reduced cut off for NEET SS 2022 by 20 percentile for each speciality. It is expected that the qualifying percentile or cutoff for NEET SS 2024 will be the same as last year.
Ques.Which NEET SS 2024 course have the highest and the lowest cutoffs?
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) or the exam conducting body for NEET SS releases the qualifying scores or the cutoff marks for each subjects along with the result. The cutoff of NEET SS is generally lower for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Cardiology and NeuroSurgery. On the other hand, the qualifying score is high for Head and Neck Surgery, Gynaecological Oncology and Neuroradiology.

What is the total duration of the NEET SS 2024 exam?
The total duration of the NEET SS exam is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours. There is no sectional time limit. Hence, candidates have to manage the time accordingly to attempt as many questions as possible within this duration. There are 150 questions in total. Hence, to attempt all the questions, test-takers will get one minute per question. Along with maintaining speed to complete the NEET SS exam, candidates must also maintain accuracy to avoid losing marks since there is a negative marking scheme.
