For candidates applying in the current round, choice filling and locking will remain open until August 20, 2026, while the Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for August 21, 2026. The provisional inter-se merit list for Arunachal Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026 was released on July 31, 2026, based on candidates' NEET UG 2026 All India Rank (AIR). It serves as the preliminary ranking for counselling, while final eligibility remains subject to document and category verification. Candidates should note that the inter-se merit list is different from the final eligible candidate list, which is scheduled to be published on August 20, 2026 after completion of Round 1 registration and document verification.

The Arunachal Pradesh NEET Counselling registration process is conducted online through the official counselling portal notified by the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education (DHTE). Candidates must complete every stage of the counselling process within the prescribed deadline to be considered for seat allotment. Any incomplete application or failure to participate in a counselling round may lead to disqualification from that round.
Steps to Register for Arunachal Pradesh NEET Counselling 2026
Step 1: Online Registration: Visit the official DHTE Arunachal Pradesh counselling portal and register using your NEET UG 2026 Roll Number, application number, personal details, email ID, and mobile number. After successful registration, create login credentials for future counselling activities.
Step 2: Fill the Application Form: Log in to the counselling portal and provide all the required personal, academic, communication, and NEET examination details. Candidates should carefully verify every entry before submitting the application.
Step 3: Upload Required Documents: Upload scanned copies of the prescribed documents, including educational certificates, NEET scorecard, domicile certificate, identity proof, and category certificate (if applicable), in the specified format.

Step 6: State Merit List: DHTE releases the Arunachal Pradesh State Merit List based on NEET UG rank and eligibility criteria. Only shortlisted candidates can participate in choice filling.
Step 7: Choice Filling and Locking: Select and arrange medical and dental colleges in order of preference. Candidates should fill as many choices as possible to maximise their chances of securing a seat.

Security Deposit / Seat Acceptance Fee
For MBBS and BDS seats, candidates allotted a seat are required to pay the prescribed ₹5,000 security deposit/seat acceptance fee, subject to the current counselling rules. The official 2025 brochure specified ₹5,000 for MBBS, BDS and other medical/AYUSH degree courses; candidates should follow the 2026 allotment instructions displayed on the portal.
Reservation Policy in Arunachal Pradesh NEET Counselling 2026
Reservation under Arunachal Pradesh NEET Counselling is provided according to the reservation policy notified by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Candidates claiming reservation must upload valid supporting documents during registration and produce the originals during document verification.

Seats Available Through Arunachal Pradesh NEET Counselling 2026
The State Counselling Authority conducts admissions to 85% State Quota MBBS seats in government medical colleges located within Arunachal Pradesh. Depending on the prevailing admission policy, eligible domicile candidates may also be considered for nominated seats in medical institutions outside the state.
The remaining 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are filled separately through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
