JEE Advanced 2025 Reservation Criteria include 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC-NCL, and 10% for GEN-EWS. Apart from these, 5% of seats in each category are reserved for PwD candidates. To avail the reservation, candidates need to provide valid proof of meeting the JEE Advanced Reservation Eligibility Criteria. In case any candidate is found to be ineligible with incorrect/fake documents will be terminated from the admission process immediately. Most importantly, a category once submitted cannot be changed again during the JEE Advanced 2025 Registration. JEE Advanced 2025 Exam is scheduled for May 18, 2025 with the admit card release on May 11, 2025. 

The Government of India has introduced the reservation policy to provide equal opportunity for students from all sections of society. This reservation policy is applied during the admission process conducted through the JEE Advanced 2025. JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025 Highlights

A fixed percentage of seats in each IIT are reserved for various categories of candidates in the JEE Advanced 2025 Reservation Policy. These reservations apply across all undergraduate programs. Candidates must submit valid documents for claiming the benefits of the reservation policy. These documents must be issued by competent authorities and should follow government norms. JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025 for General-EWS

The General Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS) category was introduced to support economically weak students from the general category. Candidates must not belong to SC, ST, or OBC-NCL categories. They must satisfy the income and asset criteria defined by the Government of India. GEN-EWS candidates are eligible for 10% reservation in each course. To claim this benefit, they must present a valid GEN-EWS certificate issued on or after April 1, 2024. JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025 for OBC-NCL

In the JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025, the Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) category gets a 27% reservation in all IITs. Candidates must ensure that they belong to the central list of OBCs, which can be checked on ncbc.nic.in. Those who fall under the creamy layer are treated as a general category. The OBC-NCL certificate should also be issued after April 1, 2024 and follow the latest format. Candidates must upload a declaration in case the certificate is pending. JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025 for SC

In the JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025, Scheduled Caste (SC) category has a reservation of 15% in every IIT course. Only those listed under the central SC list of the Government of India are eligible. Candidates need to submit a valid SC caste certificate issued by a competent authority. JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025 for ST

In the JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025, Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates receive 7.5% reservation in every program offered by IITs. Candidates must belong to the central ST list as published by the Government of India. A valid ST certificate must be submitted at the time of admission. ST candidates also get the benefit of lower qualifying marks, relaxed eligibility, and inclusion in a separate ST rank list. They can also use the reservation in combination with PwD (if applicable). JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025 for PwD

In the JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates get a 5% reservation in each category (GEN, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST). Candidates must have a minimum 40% disability. The disability can be visual, locomotor, or severe dyslexia. PwD candidates must provide a valid disability certificate from a notified medical authority. Dyslexic students should submit Form-DYSLEXIC 1 and 2 instead of a general PwD certificate. JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025 for Female Candidates

To improve gender balance, IITs offer supernumerary seats for female candidates in the JEE Advanced Seat Allotment Process 2025. These are additional seats, not part of the regular intake. The aim is to ensure at least 20% female enrolment in undergraduate programs during the admission process conducted through JEE Advanced 2025. Only Indian nationals and OCI/PIO (I) candidates are eligible. The selection is strictly based on performance of female candidates in the JEE Advanced 2025. JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025 for Defence Personnel

Defence Service (DS) candidates are children of defence or paramilitary personnel killed or permanently disabled in action. In JEE Advanced Reservation Criteria 2025, a total of 2 seats per IIT are reserved for the Defence Personnel category students. To be eligible, the candidate must appear in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2025. A certificate from the Ministry of Defence or Ministry of Home Affairs is required to claim this benefit.
