VITEEE 2027: Exam Date, Registration, Eligibility, Pattern & Syllabus

VITEEE 2027 is the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination conducted for admission to B.Tech programmes at VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP and VIT Bhopal. VIT has not released the official VITEEE 2027 notification yet. Based on the previous admission cycle, VITEEE 2027 registration is expected to begin around October 2026, while the exam is likely to be conducted in April-May 2027.

VITEEE 2027 Exam Date

The VITEEE 2027 exam date will be announced by VIT through the official admission notification. The 2027 schedule, including the registration deadline, admit card, exam sessions, result and counselling dates, has not been released yet.

VITEEE 2026 was conducted from April 28 to May 3, 2026. The VITEEE 2026 application process was launched in October 2025. Based on this schedule, VITEEE 2027 registration is expected to begin around October 2026 and the examination is expected to be held during April-May 2027.

VITEEE 2026 Compared with VITEEE 2027

Since VIT has not released the VITEEE 2027 information bulletin yet, the following comparison shows the latest confirmed 2026 details alongside the current status of VITEEE 2027.

VITEEE 2027 Registration

The VITEEE 2027 registration process is expected to begin around October 2026. Candidates will have to complete the application form online through the official VIT admission portal.

The VITEEE application process generally includes registration, entering personal and academic information, selecting the test city, uploading the required documents, paying the application fee and submitting the form.

VITEEE 2027 Registration Process

1. Visit the official VITEEE website.
2. Complete the new-user registration using a valid email ID and mobile number.
3. Verify the registered mobile number through OTP.
4. Login to the application portal.
5. Enter personal and academic details.
6. Select the preferred examination city.
7. Upload the photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
8. Pay the application fee.
9. Submit the completed application form.
10. Download and save the submitted application form for future reference.

The VITEEE 2026 application fee was INR 1,350 for candidates applying for Indian test centres. The application fee for VITEEE 2027 will be confirmed by VIT.

VITEEE 2027 Eligibility

The VITEEE 2027 eligibility criteria will be confirmed by VIT with the official admission notification. Until then, the VITEEE 2026 eligibility requirements provide the latest reference for candidates checking the qualifying examination, subject combination, minimum marks, age limit and eligibility through the Mathematics or Biology route.

Are There Any Eligibility Relaxations?

VITEEE 2026 provided a lower qualifying aggregate requirement for SC/ST candidates and candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and specified Northeastern states, subject to the conditions prescribed by VIT and submission of the required supporting documents.

Who Can Apply for VITEEE 2027? 

Candidates who have passed or are appearing for Class 12 or an equivalent examination with the subjects prescribed by VIT can apply, subject to the final VITEEE 2027 eligibility criteria.

Candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) can apply through the Mathematics route, while eligible candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) can apply through the Biology route. PCMB candidates can also be considered according to the applicable VIT admission rules.

VITEEE 2027 Exam Pattern

The VITEEE 2027 exam pattern has not been announced yet. The VITEEE 2026 pattern can be used as the latest reference.

VITEEE 2026 consisted of 125 questions to be attempted in 2 hours 30 minutes. The question paper included Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Aptitude and English.

For candidates following the Mathematics route, the 40-question section consists of Mathematics. Candidates taking the Biology route receive Biology instead of Mathematics.

The VITEEE paper is conducted as a computer-based test and consists of multiple-choice questions.

Note: VIT has not confirmed whether the same 125-question structure and 2 hours 30 minutes duration will continue for VITEEE 2027.

VITEEE 2027 Marking Scheme

VITEEE 2026 introduced a revised marking scheme under which candidates received four marks for every correct answer and lost one mark for every incorrect answer.

With 125 questions carrying four marks each, the maximum score under the 2026 pattern was 500 marks.

Important: The +4/-1 marking scheme is based on VITEEE 2026. VIT has not yet confirmed the marking scheme for VITEEE 2027.

VITEEE 2027 Syllabus

The VITEEE 2027 syllabus will be confirmed by VIT with the official admission material. Based on the VITEEE 2026 syllabus, candidates were tested in:

The Mathematics and Biology sections depend on the candidate's selected examination route. Physics, Chemistry, Aptitude and English are common components of the VITEEE paper.

VITEEE 2027 Campuses

VIT conducts B.Tech admissions through VITEEE for four campuses:

The availability of individual B.Tech programmes can vary between campuses. Candidates provide their preferred campus and programme choices during the counselling process.

Important: Campus and programme preferences are handled during counselling and are not the final admission decision at the application stage. Seat allotment depends on the candidate's VITEEE rank, preference order and seat availability.

VITEEE 2027 Admission Process

After the VITEEE result is released, eligible candidates participate in online counselling. Candidates provide their preferred programmes and campuses, after which VIT processes allotment based on rank, preference and available seats.

VITEEE 2027 Counselling Process

VITEEE 2027 counselling is expected to be conducted online based on the candidate's VITEEE rank. In the 2026 counselling process, eligible candidates logged in to the counselling portal using their application credentials and entered preferences for campus, B.Tech programme and fee category. VIT then considered the candidate's rank, selected preferences and available seats for allotment.

VITEEE is conducted at test centres across multiple cities. Candidates select their preferred test city while completing the application form, subject to the options made available by VIT.

The final list of VITEEE 2027 exam centres will be released with the application details. Candidates should select their test city carefully because changes may not be permitted after the application or slot-booking stage.

VITEEE 2027 Result and Rank

VIT will announce the VITEEE 2027 result after the entrance examination. Candidates will be able to check their result and rank through the official VIT admission portal using their login credentials.

The VITEEE rank is important for the subsequent counselling and seat allotment process. Candidates are required to participate in counselling and submit their programme and campus preferences according to the schedule announced by VIT.
