JEE Advanced Marking Scheme 2025: Overview, Marking Scheme for Paper 1 and Paper 2

JEE Advanced Marking Scheme 2025 for multiple-choice questions includes 3 marks for correct answers, and there will be a negative mark for each incorrect answer. However, for Numerical Answer-Type questions (NAT), students will be awarded one mark for choosing each correct option, and there will be no negative marking. If students do not attempt any question, no mark will be awarded.


JEE Advanced for 2025 is set to take place on May 18, 2025, for two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is scheduled from 9 AM to 12 PM. JEE Advanced Marking Scheme 2025: Overview

JEE Advanced Paper 1 and Paper 2 total marks are 360, where 180 marks are distributed for each paper. According to the JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2025, students will receive questions in three formats: Multiple-choice, Numerical Answer-Type, and Matching-Type. The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours. Tabulated below is an overview of the JEE Advanced 2025:

JEE Advanced Question Paper and Marking Scheme: Paper 1

JEE Advanced Paper 1 will consist of 51 questions, out of which 17 questions will be for each section, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The maximum marks for Sections I, II, and IV are 12, and for Section III, the maximum marks are 24. The marking scheme for each section will vary, and it is as follows:

For Paper 2 in JEE Advanced 2025, students will be given 51 questions to solve within 3 hours. The total marks of this paper will be 180, and for each section, there will be 17 questions.
