Based on data from previous years, the minimum marks required for general category students to get into IIT is 35%; however, for reserved categories like OBC-NCL/EWS, it is 31.5%. JEE Advanced 2025 Minimum Marks for General Category

JEE Advanced total marks are 360, out of which Physics and Chemistry together hold 180 marks. The rest of the 180 marks are allocated for the Mathematics section. Competition for the general categories is comparatively higher than for any other category. Hence, general category students are required to score a minimum of 35% of the total marks to get admission into IIT. IIT Kanpur will release JEE Advanced Cutoff after the declaration of results.
