Ballari Institute of Technology & Management (BITM), located in Bellary, was established in 1997 as an autonomous college associated with VTU, Belgaum, and sanctioned by AICTE and the Karnataka government. The institute provides a varied range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, and Management.
Admission at BITM is based on a variety of national and state-level entrance tests, including JEE, COMED-K, KMAT , KCET, CAT , and MAT , which are administered for both undergraduate and graduate programmes. BITM has garnered numerous distinctions and recognitions, including being listed as the 75th Best College in the South Zone and 159th overall. From 2016 to 2020, it received AICTE Best Practices recognition and BITM has also been rated A++ by Silicon India B-School Ranking 2020, ranked 89th Best Private Engineering College at the All India level by The Week Survey 2019, and 59th Best Private Engineering College in the South Zone. The MBA Department has also been recognised, ranking 41st in the Outlook Best Business School Survey 2020.
